Look I know this has been talked about a bunch but I am am a Vol and you all are my orange blooded peeps so I need to vent a little.

This is about the losses to Florida and Bama. The fact that we lost to them isnt the problem. We have lost to them both in the same season before and it will happen again. Its the fact that we were blown out by our to biggest rivals that has me feeling horrible right now.

We were blown out by our two biggest rivals not because we lacked the talent to keep up with them but because we didnt have Heart. That is what scared me the most.

One of my closest friends is a Bama fan and he told me that we looked emotionless in the second half sat. He told me that it tainted the victory for him a little because he knew that Bama didnt get our best shot. It looked like we were just waiting for the game to end.

That makes me sick to my stomach. The coaches jobs is to get these boys ready for the Big games and when you come to Tennessee you learn that the big games are Bama and Florida. I have always admired Fulmer and his staff but I cant for the life of me understand what has happened to him. He looks lost on the sidelines at times now.

I dont believe that the game has passed him by. We run an effective scheme on Offense and D I believe. I still believe that Fulmer can be a great headcoach, but I honestly believe his heart isnt in it anymore. He is a humiliated man right now and he doesnt deserve to be booed and harrassed by fans. This man has bleed for the team we love and he deserves respect.

With that being said I really do believe that this is it for him. I believe with my heart that at the end of the year he will retire. It will be a sad day for all UT fans even if they dont know it yet. He took us to the top of the mountain and he will go down as one of the Greats at UT.

Change is coming I believe with all my heart. He doesnt have anything left in the tank.

I only hope that he doesnt get booed Sat. He doesnt deserve it. The man is a legend here.

It's like when I was a kid and my dog got sick. I just KNEW everything was gonna be alright....right up until we buried him.

I have been a fan all my life and this year we have been devastated by our 2 arch enemies....I would rather lose to FL than bama....and not only did we lose, we gave up...we had no fire and no inspiration. Spurrier and now $atan have proven that you can win with players who are not considered the best if you have the right coaching staff that instills the belief that they can beat anyone. I think we have been content to accept mediocrity with our program because we loved and respected Fulmer and wanted him to succeed because he is a TN man, all the way and we were proud of that...we're still proud of what he has accomplished. We have had the stability of the same coach and that has been good when we looked at other teams floundering. I believe that Fulmer will do the right thing...until then, they are my team, win or lose.

I too have been a fan my entire life but I won't beat around the bush.I think it's time for change in Knoxville and I don't think it should a knee jerk decision.Coach Fulmer needs to leave at the end of the season and allow us to get some new blood in and try to turn the Vol football program around and be an "elite program" once again. The losses we suffered were'nt even close to two of our biggest rivals.I like Coach Fulmer and appreciate what he has done but it's time.I will say that our next coach will have to be a great recruiter that's for certain.

Well put, and I agree. I was trying to think of something to add, but you said it all. My best hope is win out, and CPF hangs up the cleats. Go Vols:salute:

Yes. I would rather see. Fulmer go out with at least some dignity left.

I guess my fear would be for us to do well in the remaining home games then get embarassed in Lexington.

Not to be such a downer, but I will reiterate what I said before the season began: KY will end their losing streak to us this year.

Well there you have it: might as well just forfeit now. :)

I agree that they certainly have the motivation to win it, but I don't think it's a foregone conclusion.

What pains and annoys me the most is the lack of effort. Not just the players, but the coaches. I tell my kids this too. I don't expect perfection, I expect effort. If you give 100% and fail, I can live with that. If you don't try, you better be good. DAMN good.

This loss hurts worse than the Florida loss. After the Florida loss we still had a shot to win the East. Now, we need a lot of help.
