He took the exact same team (minus some pieces) that fulmer led to a 5-7 season, and led them to a 7-5 season and a bowl game.

we need to recruit like a son of a *****. this ncaa stuff has really hurt us. i love kiffin and i like what he is doing with our program. but he needs to cut the infraction crap out he isint just making himself look bad he is making our school look bad...i just hope he doesint come here and destroy this program like he did the raiders...oHH wait sorry i had a al davis moment.... hahah GO VOLS!

I will admit i was a Fulmerite at one time, and questioned the hiring of Lane, but when you are a TRUE VOL you understand that it is not about your ideas and thoughts and questions. BUT what is BEST for the orange. So I jumped on the Lane Train. You take a long look in the mirror and think about this because WE will make it to the top & YOU will not cause us to crash. BUT you can jump aboard and take this ride with us. GO VOLS!

Looking back at it, why are we so devoid of talent? With studs like Kenny O'Neal, Ahmad Paige, BJ Coleman, Brent Vinson, Tyler Maples, Chris Donald, Demetrice Morley. And you blame this loss on Monte, Lane, Lance, Ed, etc? It would take a miracle to win an SEC Championship with this crew...but you label this season a failure and say we should have won tonight. Laughable. We did the best with what we had, but even sometimes a team's best can disappoint especially with all the injuries we had. This staff milked these players for all they had and could only produce 7 wins. Deal with it.

Lane has proven that Nick Saban and Pete Carroll had 6-6 record in their first season.

Don't worry about Volsrock12,he's probably off his medication again. Maybe now he can get back to more important threads like "Does Orgeron put black shoe polish in his hair." It's obvious this guy really knows the game inside,and out.

OK, you should stop playing NCAA 10 on freshman difficulty. We did very well, he put us on the map, something fulmer never had the balls to do

he's proved he can recruit and bring in good talent. coaching wise i have to agree the allstar staff just didnt do as well as i thought they would, but as the saying goes there is always next year.

give this staff 2 more classes and we will be alright were are down 25 scholorship players from players leaving and getting kicked off

Along with developing Crompton which apparently "doesnt count" what about Hardesty and the recievers as well as the walk ons in the OL. I guess those don't count either because they are actual reasons LK is a good coach.

Fulmer left Lane K with a bare cupboard. It will take years to rebuild the roster with 5 star talent to compete with florida and bama. At least UT can beat georgia easy most years with the talent they have.

you can't take beating georgia for granted though.

georgia is either on the verge of getting back into serious SEC contention over the next couple of years or they are in a position similar to the one tennessee was in 2004-05.

the similarities to 2009 georgia and 2004-2005 tennessee are fairly striking though, although georgia's record was better.
