i keep reading all these storys and stuff and it says thank goodness tyler bray is hear cause theres no depth behind stephens,Lamaison?!?!?!.info on him any?

From what I have read and heard he was basically brought in for depth and depth only.
So thats probably what he will be since we have Bray and Simms although Bray WILL redshirt. It will be Simms and Stephens next year

I thought we never brought in anyone who couldn't play? Wasn't that the excuse for sending Boyd out the door?

You never know when you are going to lose a QB or two. You need horses in the stable

I'd appreciate ut if people would stop making lamaison threads. This guy was brought in to run the scout team. Stop it. Just stop it.

Lamaison knows the offense more than Bray and Simms. Lams will compete with Stephens next year.

From what I have hear Lamaison is the UT equivalent of Kevin Craft at UCLA, if someone in the know could confirm or deny I would be grateful.

Are you kidding me?! Bray WILL NOT redshirt! Why would we redshirt him when we are aiming for a few 5-star QB recruits in 2010? Moreover, I know many are convinced that Stephens will be automatic starter next year, but I'm not! Bray will give him a run for his money and may even win the job, IMHO! Bottom line, Bray will NOT redshirt though! :stop:

Lamaison may never play, but he is better than most people are giving him credit for! :hi:

The last comment I heard from Kiffin regarding Lamaison was a couple months back and he said that was playing really well in practice, which really stuck out for me at the time.

I have heard Lamaison compared as a Rick Clausen type QB that is basically just a practice player.

Bray will not redshirt. And Stephens is no guarantee to be the starter next year either. There will be a three way battle in spring practice.

I know RC wasn't a world beater. But considering the the circumstances of the team at the moment, he was ok. He certainly shined during the Cotton Bowl against A&M.

never say never. if Bray was to get injured in practice or something he could get red shirted. so it is indeed a possibility. I highly doubt he will be ready physically to compete in the spring, which is just my opinion. He is no where ready to take a hit from an SEC starting defender. he would break in half...

Don't see Bray redshirting, he's got an opportunity to compete for the job. Simms and Stephens aren't going to be enough competition to allow him to redshirt.

The idea that Lamaison was brought in for depth only, and sucks, and can't get the snap count ever, etc, etc is something started and perpetuated by volnation.com/forum. The ONLY thing I ever saw or heard from coaches was that he had trouble the first day with the snap count. Who doesn't? If everyone could get the snap count on the first try, we wouldn't even use it. Defensive lines would manhandle us.

A couple gurus said he sucked, everyone picked up on it, and now Lamaison sucks. The guy came in a couple weeks before the season started...the coaches didn't have time for him to do anything other than run the scout team.

I'm not saying he'll come in and win the starting job, but you don't throw for 3000 yards and suck.
