What has Florida proven to this point....

So we are going to get our butts whipped the first half, then make a ridiculous come back in the second half; holding the Gators to zero TD's?!?!

That's the same game plan we used at LSU in 2005

I think it has less to do with what each team has proven and more to do with what each team has seen at this point in the season. UT, although a loss, has faced a team with great team speed that many would argue is at least as fast as Florida's. Missed tackles coming from overpursuit and first game mistakes will be corrected. UT has also faced a team with a very mobile quaterback that also ran a little option to help ready them for Tebow. UT has also played on the road in a big game on primetime. UT has faced two teams that have prepared them well for what they will likely face on the road at "The Swamp". I think that's the edge. VOLS 28-24

HO HUM HATER VOLS on here......its really, really funny to read the VolNation's opinions on here....We match up really well with Florida.....our D has picked it up and I doubt Chavis has shown any Florida schemes the first 2 games.......Yanno why most people don't like UT?? Cuz our fans are fans when we win.......but lose, and we need to fire the coaches, fire the AD, move Neyland to the other side of Knoxville.....it's pitiful that our loyalty sucks......if we beat Florida on Saturday, Sept 15th in 2007th year of our Lord.......watch these lil spineless, unloyal, fire Fulmer peeps just fall back in love with our football team......lmao, it is fun to watch!!
good greif. so someone doesn't share your opinion, and they're not loyal? gimmie a break. and believe me, other fans that hate TN, don't hate us because of our fanbase. it likely has more to do with who they call the home team than anything else.

as for the game....yeah, it's SO out of the box to think FL, the defending national champs, at the swamp, who have won 2 straight against us, are capable of, shocker, winnning, again. oh please forgive us.

we all want to win this game. we will all be watching, rooting, cheering...whatever...that we do just that.

but if i, and i do, have the opinion, based on what i've seen, that FL will win this game, so be it.

i think we'll score points against their d. but the difference maker for me is our D against their O. the option should worry us, their sppeed on offense against our D should worry us. Our kicking game should worry us. our coverage team should worry us. our offense should NOT worry us.

and in the end, like i said a couple of months ago, i really won't be "shocked" if we do win. i just don't think it likely.

UF has shown they are vulnerable. Even playing their second or third stringers they should not give up 31 at home to Troy.

UF also has several key skill players not 100%. This is a big deal. Even if they all play, not being 100% makes guys play differently - and it's never better.

UT has shown they are vulnerable on defense. But they have been improving. In the second half against USM they gave up 3 points. The second teamers on both lines have stepped up the game. In the second half I really liked what the backups brought.

On paper, UT is a team finding itself and UF is a team still looking. UT is coming into the game healthy UF is coming in with players banged up. UT has seasoned our guys with some tough competition where UF has had glorified scrimmages.

It should be a great game.
