CLK and his staff of "SUPER RECRUITERS" did not fare so well on NSD this year. Kiffin bragging about how he had the best recruiters in the country. Well here is a little tid bit of info in case you didnt already know. Eddie Gran from AU was never that good of a recruiter, Thompson from UA was banging everyone he could find ont he recruiting trail, he was out a UA as soon as this class was done anyway. Coach O can recruit, but look at what NUTT has done with his players kinda makes me wonder how good of a coach he really is. So let me get this straight the HIGHEST PAID asst coaching staff got thier butt kicked by AUBURN, who still has a incomplete staff, has been at AU less time. I am a VOLS fan but this is how you start to linger in mediocrity when the VOL FANS wont stand up and say something, when clearly KIFFIN is in WAY OVER HIS HEAD.

Yeah, all Gran did in a few weeks was pull Nu'Keese Richardson away from Florida. He sucks.

Full staff for three weeks..New head coach for what, two to three months. what a terrible job...what are you smokin?! go watch CLK and CEO's press conference

Don't be quite so quick to dismiss this, fellas. I certainly don't agree with the "sky is falling" tone, and no realistic person could have expected a Top 10 class with so much catching up to do in so little time. But the fact that Auburn, with a newer (and more maligned) head coach outperformed our dream team of recruiters should at least give us pause.

Overall, though, good day, and I am thrilled with the Richardson pick up.

I don't think this is sarcasm. I think this is obviously an LSU troll that came here after Janzen's announcement.

but the reg of 2007 is certainly confusing....

I love this little gang that has formed over the last 24 hours to bash our new coach, new staff and new direction. They pulled a fat recruiting rabbit out of their hat yesterday AND today with very little time and they themselves declared it unsatisfactory(although those in the know are pretty impressed.)

Why dont you little buggers just start pulling for Vandy and exit stage right. Give this program a chance to win like you gave Phil sooooo many years to do or continue to be ignoramuses.

We targeted the guys that we thought would make this team better. Auburn took the quantity approach. Bottom line is we signed better players overall. Many of these kids that Auburn signed will do little more than play special teams.

Nothing wrong with the approach Auburn took. I guess our staff put more importance on next year and making sure we have the room to sign a very good, very large class.

I think that several people who are wanting to compare us to Auburn aren't looking at the big picture. The amount signed plays a large part in the final ranking. Auburn signed 10 more players than us. Only one more four than us, and 0 five stars like the one we just signed away from LSU. If you would listen to CLK's press conference he stated that we are not going to take players just to take them for the sake of a high ranking. What this staff has done in a very short time is remarkable. To steal recruits from three of your biggest rivals (two of which have won the last 3 NCs) after a 5-7 bowless season says alot about this staff's ability to recruit. I can't wait to see what they do with a full year.

ESPN has a slightly more positive take on our recruiting class (perhaps they look at quality/value of players as opposed to total number signed)

They have us ranked as the 15th class in the nation. Above the likes of Arkansas, Ole Miss, Miss ST, and Auburn. Oh, and this is all not including JJ.
