What do you mean what happened to Bryce Brown? He played a big role as a freshman as our 2nd string RB and played behind one of the best backs in the country. He was also hurt the whole year with a hip injury.

There was a noticable drop from Hardesty to Brown IMO.
Brown needs to improve, Oku is going to push him hard for playing time.

Bryce Brown will be fine come next year. He will be able to carry the load after a full year in the strength and conditioning program. Don't read too much into the High school all american game either. He was going against other high school players. Granted, they're some of the best high school players, but they're still nothing compared to SEC vets who have three or four years under their belts.

I wasn't let down in the least by what I saw. A freshman(injured on and off all year) in the SEC running second string to a guy who I think was actually better than Ingram this year after comparing the two ofensive lines can't expect much more. He also showed he has great hands(no fumbles??) and some great catches.

lol thanks for the laugh

Coming into the year he was the player i was most excited to watch (minus Eric Berry of course) and watching him in the Army AA game i thought he would be the second coming of Adrian Peterson.

He was extremely fast and agile but strong at the same time. But during the year he looked slow and didn't break hardly any tackles. I know he was in the SEC/had a hip injury, but he also looked chunkier and much less athletic than in the Army AA game.. did anyone else notice that?

Go check the tape from the AA game and then look at his freshman highlights and tell me that looks like 2 completely different players. I wish Bryce the best and hope he gets his legs back under him next year and has a monster year.. that is all.

You try running against SEC defenses with a hip pointer as an 18 year old true freshman and still average 5 yards a carry. I dare you.

I wonder if his lack of carries had anything to do with being behind a 1300 yd RB who ran like a f-n MAN all year long?

Almost as good as the laugh you gave our entire site when you said you would take Kirby Smart over Monte Kiffin every day of the week.

Exactly how many illegal drugs were you on when you posted that?

I would defiently take a young Kirby Smart over an old Monte who was embarrassed a couple times this year. But I think the main thing is I would take Saban over Monte. We all know it is Saban's D.

Bryce is going to be great. He runs extrememly hard, and was also a vocal leader in the locker room with the drama with Nuke earlier in the season. He is going to be an awesome rep of the VolNation
