What happened to Bailey ?

He looks totally different this year. Sorry if already a topic but I can’t believe he’s not better. I thought he was gonna be a starter or at least a regular contributer. What gives?

Well, I don't know why his minutes started declining--but what I do know, and it applies to almost everybody, is that if you're not playing, your confidence
level is going d-o-w-n, and I'm sure his confidence level is about 0, and I doubt Powell's is much higher.

And here's the thing: We need Bailey and Powell, IMO--because they can make 3s--both have shown that, even if Bailey is for sure streaky and maybe Powell is too. If Barnes wants to score more, then he's got to get these two guys more PT, get them, along with Vescovi, to take more 3s. It may not work--but our inside game sux and we pass the ball around for 30 seconds a lot only to get nothing, so why not become more Auburn-like--shoot more 3s. And for that we need more Powell and Bailey. Or, Barnes keeps the focus on defense--but we barely get to 50 and lose by 14 or whatever.

Agree with all that. I had high expectations for this team. Bailey is still head scratching tho. He had a big play tonight but still..wtf?

He hasn’t played with the energy he played with at the end of the game since the first half of last season.

If he could harness that, he’d find the floor more.

Problem is, dude has been inconsistent and a liability.

Honestly impressed with the decision to stick with the lineup of guys that sparked the run all the way to the end. Shame we missed the shot, but rewarding good play versus having pet players is the right culture.

Barnes strresses DEFENSE and Bailey constantly gets beat off the dribble therefore causing the big men to come and help and either get a foul or the opposing player shoots over the top and its usually a put back dunk from the opposing team getting the rebound....

Too many guys on this team have regressed or never improved ..... Bailey. FULKY , Chandler , Howell .. Uros has improved .. ON is on and off makes stupid mistakes .. BHH has not improved .. we lack coaching period

Auburn has shot 539 and hit 179= 33.2%
Tennes has shot 532 and hit 176 = 33.08% virtually the same. We shoot enough 3's, who'd ever thunk it.

We lack the talented assistant coaches that Barnes enjoyed and trusted when he got here, the technique teachers are not here anymore, these long scoring droughts are emblematic of fundamental breakdowns in shooting technique, execution, getting the open shots off an offensive play, you only win when you put the ball into the basket more often than the opponent. Rotations are a little better these days, but still suspect at times. Offense clicks better with more of an up tempo movement up the floor rather than settling into a halfcourt game which we do not have anyway.

Your exactly right ...our half court struggles alot .. seems like best rotation is Zeigler, Chandler, Viscovi, JJJ and Olivier .. with Uros , Fulky and Howell rotating .. BHH and Bailey a few mins
