GT will be competitive but at this point I think Tennessee will win the game
:thud:
I agree UT will have all summer to prepare for that triple option attack. It's assignment football, where Tech beats team with more talent is when a team only has a week to prepare. UT will get thier assignments down, and Tech has never proven to have much of a defense. The UT D-Line will be completely loaded with big, fast, and physical players with a lot of experience come 2017.
Seeing Ga Tech on the schedule is much better than Oregon or Oklahoma. Maybe, they should renew the rivalry and play every year in Atlanta.

Most on this board are not old enough to remember the rivalry between UT and Tech. Bobby Dodd, their equivalent to Robert Neyland, was a Vol and brought Tech to prominence. They were in the SEC or maybe the old Southern Conference before going to the ACC.
UT would run the old single wing against their split T, which was relatively new at the time. One of the classics in college football history was the game that was tied at zero in the fourth quarter when Big Doug Atkins caught a long pass for a TD to win 6-0.
I would love to see the rivalry renewed except for the funky offense you have to defend.
