After the fiasco we had Sunday, we should be happy to be able to lure anyone here if Gundy does come. Contrary to what others may think, money is not the end all be all for coaches. Another mil or so isn't as substantial when you are already rich.
If we throw 8 mil at a coach it is to make a statement -- We respect you and believe in you! It tells Gundy that we don't simply think he is another run of the mil mid-level coach, but deserving to be considered top-tier.
He will always be limited at OSU, but at Tennessee the possibility to backup our belief in him are currently present. We have the resources, the money, the talent, the stadium, etc to help him acheive greatness soon. He has already publicly admitted that he won't coach long enough to get OSU to that level (elite status) but can get them closer to it. Do it now with UT!
