What does Tenn, Ga & SC have in common?

They all succeeded from the union, they’re the top three states for obesity and double wide trailers, they lead the nation in fewest teeth per capita, they all have a bounty out on Nancy Pelosi…am I getting warm? And before anyone gets too bent outa shape I was born in Georgia, raised in Knoxville, and currently live in SC. So maybe that’s it??!! GBO

NC born and bred. Have tried bbq all over the US. Nothing beats NC pork bbq. Or maybe I have too much vinegar in my veins from all that I consumed over my formative and young adult years
BS, W Tenn has been making smoked pork butts forever. I grew up eating it with ketchup. It ain't the sauce, it's the meat. Camden, TN was home to my first and favorite Que.

meh...to each his own. Memphis bbq is ok, I just prefer it NC style....it's smoked as well just a different sauce. I like to inject mine to get the flavor all the way through....kinda hard to do w/ ketchup base.

Not Memphis style. This is open pit slow smoking with a rub. No sauce mixing. Straight up meat. If it's done right and a good piece of pork, you don't have to inject it. I buy butts at Fresh Market bone in and cook them on my Traeger. Not quite as good as my memories but close. No fancy rub needed either. I put the ketchup on the meat on the bun or just eat it straight up.
