What does it take for us to beat FL this time around?

Hooker and the other QBs need to get on a conference call with Dobbs, get his words of wisdom as the last to beat FL. Also, the team needs to understand that FL in the past has been a bunch of thugs, and not to get intimidated by them, just show them by outplaying them on the field. Protect Hooker, get the running game going and stop their running game and bring the pressure against their QB. Minimize mistakes and play the game the way the coaches have taught. Time to end the curse of Spurrier for good. GBO.

Win all 3 phases: Offense, Defense, Special teams
Win before you begin: walk in expecting to win
Preparation: Know where to attack and when
Lines of scrimmage: games are won and lost here. Set the tone early mean nasty violent hit them early and often
3rd down defense: fly to the ball. Sideline to sideline.
Coverage: no blown assignments. He may be playing awful but he can still hurt Tennessee
Passing accuracy: Hooker high, low, in front or behind. You don’t need to be perfect but I step better would’nt hurt
Running game: someone has to step up. When your number is called earn everything they give you. Hold onto the ball and truck someone if you have to
LB play: The most important group in the game. Control your gaps control your intensity. No big plays no breakdowns. Banks, if Richardson leaves to pocket be there to meet him every. Damn. Time.
WR: if they play bump and run get on a go and throw that hand up. The speed in the group is an embarrassment of riches.

The long, outside passes scare the hell out of me. I think Gata gonna get at least one pick six.

Love HH, but he does seem to target a receiver. I'm not sure if the FU secondary is all that talented, but I'm sure they are faster than anything we've seen so far. Not trying to be negative, but that's what worries me.

Contain Richardson, make him beat you passing. Sounds easy but is far from it. Florida is a talented team everyone in orange needs to be on their A-game.

Special teams needs to be cleaner. I would really like to see Squirrel White returning punts. Additionally, id like to see the offense start fast and keep our foot on the gas pedal.

For starters, it would be nice if we don't deflect three different passes at the LOS and still have them caught for positive yardage. That was ridiculous the other week.

Also, not dropping a punt like we did against ole piss and Pitt would be great

3. If at first the game - or the breaks - go against you, don't let up... put on more steam.

4. Protect our kickers, our QB, our lead and our ball game.

5. Ball, oskie, cover, block, cut and slice, pursue and gang tackle... for this is the WINNING EDGE.

6. Press the kicking game. Here is where the breaks are made.

7. Carry the fight to our opponent and keep it there for 60 minutes.

We have got to jump on florida FAST ! If we can get them discouraged and keep our fast tempo up above average we have the talent to beat florida. We must stop the run up the middle and contain Richardson running the ball. I personally do not believe he can beat us passing the ball. They are a definitely run oriented team. Score quickly and get them down mentally. Our up tempo can hurt them badly if we can score often and quickly !!!

Contain their running game (this one seems obvious but forcing AR to beat us with his arms seems to be our best bet).

Protect the ball. Limit penalties. (The Fla game always seems to be our worst for turnovers and stupid penalties).

Yep...stop the run, contain AR, and don't turn the ball over. Offense will take care of itself.

Keep Richardson from looking like an AA which could happen Keep Hooker upright with plenty of time. Stomp on their neck and hold it down until time expires

That’s it. Our team just needs to physically be in Neyland and the W is ours. The only thing that could prevent a Vol victory is for the entire team to get suspended. I think even if half our starters were out, we would handle this uf team. They are terrible and we are really good.

Mobile quarterbacks were our kryptonite last year. Richardson has not played well this year and he our defense/fans have the potential to overwhelm him. If we make it easy for him and allow him to make big plays with his legs to get comfortable, it will be a toss up of how the game goes. Pitt started with the ball on our side of the field 3 times. We CANNOT do that again this year.

AR had the same expression (deer in the headlights)on his face that JG showed his last year. Just don’t let him get comfortable. He likes to roll to right and throw just contain him and wait for mistakes
