Can someone please explain to me what florida actually has? All these threads are saying that tennessee has this advantage and that advantage, but we havn't won in so long, it can't be easy!

Can someone please explain to me what the gators have that could give them an actual advantage against us? I know from what i have seen of florida last year, compared to what i've seen from them this year gives them absolutely no real advantage short of kicking and punting...and from what I have seen, it shouldn't need to come down to that...

Can someone give me an honest assessment?

thanks

Florida has never beaten this team. The 7 wins in a row thing doesn't matter Saturday.

Honestly,
Driskel can hurt us with his feet if we are too aggressive.
Debose can hurt us in the return game, certainly.
They will test our toughness and dealing with adversity. We are the better team this year, but they will be flying all over the field on defense. The defense is really, really good.
They're better than us in the kicking game.

I don't think they can really pressure Bray enough to affect him... so he may be able to sit back and deal. I am very excited to see how this plays out.

For starters, they have athletes at every position.

Their front 7 on defense might be the best we see all year - Alabama might be slightly better.

Their O-line is big and athletic and the RB is the real deal. Big, strong, agile and runs downhill.

They have dominated both lines of scrimmage in their victories with us...that is their strength with this team too. We must win the battles up front!

They have some great athletes on the field on D.
They have a dangerous TE and role player.
They have a strong kicking game.
They have a good rb when healthy.
They have a qb that can extend drives with his feet, which is my biggest concern.

They have that crazy eyed coach that is one missed Xanax away from coming completely unglued.

If you read Phil Steele's evaluation then every part of their Defense: Line, Linebackers, & DB's are all in his top 20. So are their Special Teams.

It will be the best defense we've seen, and will see until UA.

They have a better kicker. Slightly better front 7 on D. Definitely better DBs. Better RB (if he's healthy).

We have a better Oline (for pass protection). The best WRs and QB in the league. Possibly the best return team in the league (CP and DY). Probably a better starting TE too.

See Alabama game 1995. Eight game non- winning streak for us. What happened? Exactly. V,B!

I just don't see it out of this "awesome defense" and "awesome O-line"

They had 17 points scored on them from a rebuilding TAMU team who were under a new coach playing their very first game of the season, and 14 from Bowling Green. That's not a whole lot better than the 34 total points we've allowed in 2 games (against similar competition) and our defense is called "questionable".

And as for the "amazing" O-line..... has anyone seen how many times Driskel has been pressured/hurried/sacked?

I'm open for debate I just don't see it personally

I wouldn't even count that last minute TD GSU scored on us. That was in garbage time against 3rd stringers.
