Hate to break it to y'all but UT has nothing offer that many other major programs don't also have.

Actually. 1 thing better, players get a check for travel expenses ect, TN"s 2nd highest in SEC just behind Auburn just under $5,000. For example ky is like $2,200

This may have little impact but to some kids it might matter.

I think the strongest sell is playing time

No blue chip recruit is making his college decision based on a 5k check every year. I do agree that playing time is the biggest sell. The problem is that all the 5 stars assume they will earn a spot wherever they go regardless of current depth chart.

He may be selling the numbers 1 and 7 are available on offense because those guys didn't buy in.

He'll sell what he's been selling...

"We're on the cusp of turning this around and you can be a part of a really great team that revives a great program."

I don't see most of the top guys buying it.

He can sell the most balanced pool pH in the league along with meeting the man who met Tom Brady on offense.

On defense, he can offer the opportunity to get the best cardiovascular workout that a Yale education can provide.

He's selling the same thing he's been selling. The university of Tennessee. He's been quoted as telling kids not to pick a school based on coaches because coaches change so often. He's selling 100k fans. He's selling tradition. He's selling one of the greatest cities on the planet.
Hopefully a few will listen

Butch has busted his butt from day one, at selling our program and getting our power T brand back out there with highschool coaches and recruits.

I think the recruits and parents can really see the passion and love Butch has for this program and school. IMO thats why Butch keeps being very succsesful on the recruiting trail.

So what does Butch sell recruits now?

Facilities - yeah, ok.
Fans - yeah, most of us anyway.
TV exposure - perhaps
Tradition - excluding the last 10 years - ok.
SEC - of course.
Bowl games - yes, recently on a bit of a small roll.

Program trending up - ?
Coach up abilities - ?
Championship contender - ?
Strength and conditioning - ?
Depth chart - ?
Game day management - ?
Caliber of recruits in your class (class rank) - ?
Matching player abilities to team needs - ?

Starting to seem to be a tough sell.

We get the #1 player in the nation and the next day a 4* OLB out of Florida and you think it's a tough sell??
