Ok, First off, one of the Vice Presidents told me today that a friend of his who went to LSU is coming to the Company tomorrow. It seems that three weeks ago he purchased a suite at the Geogia Dome for like a Pre NC Party he was going to throw. From what I hear he just about tossed his cookies last week when Arkansas won.

Anyway, long story short, I'm HOPING to get an invite to the Suite for the SECCG tomorrow when he comes to the Company to visit. The Vice President told me he would do what he could for me.

So, that story for this question. If that falls through and I don't get the invite, what are the chances of me just SHOWING up in Atlanta with my daughter and get two decent tickets for a couple hundred dollars?

Thanks for any input

The prevailing thought her all week has been that there will be plenty of tickets available for face value or less at or around the CNN center about an hour to 30 minutes before kickoff. Good Luck.

Slim to none and slim just left town... You never know really. Somebody could have gotten sick and the rest of their party went with the extra tickets. It's a crap shoot in all reality.

Why is that? Because a bunch of Georgia people got a bunch of speculative tickets and now they want to unload them? It's the stinking SEC title game for crying out loud....

Are you kidding?

Please read through the SEC champ sticky thread at the top and you will find that plenty of people have said this.

Ok, well I'm going no matter what then, Either this guy invites me to the Suite he purchased or me and ole girl will be at the CNN center about an hour before kick off.

Now I gotta get a Map of the Dome so I know a good seat when I see it.

In 2001, my friend and I went to Atlanta with no tickets. I remember there was a rule about not scalping within X feet/yards/whatever of the Georgia Dome (at the time, not sure now).

My friend and I got two tickets on the 50, behind the Bartholomew's, around 30 minutes before kickoff for $90 ... total.

I've been to the Championship game before even when UT wasn't playing just to be there....it's a great atmosphere for a game. I could always get tickets on the street cheaper than face value. I'm sure this game will not be any different. The above post is correct....look on the streets around the CNN center.

On the streets around CNN center, there are usually hundreds of tickets for this game, at face or lower-since lsu choked against Arkansas--their fans will be dumping a lot of tickets.

Hman, insert foot in mouth....thanks....

Glad someone in Atlanta has so many tickets to sell. Hey Mumpy, just look for intheatl on the street, he'll have a ticket for you and your daughter. Too bad the SEC title game has become so cheap.

Mumpy, Go to ebay and search sec championship tickets. There are tons that are going unsold per not meeting min bids. Do not let the one person that thinks tickets will be hard to get, keep you from going to the game. There are a dozen other ticket sites that have thousand of tickets still available. They will come to the dome on Sat to sell these unscalpable tickets. Have fun and GO VOLS!

IMO, there's no such things as a hard to get ticket. Some might be more expensive, but if you can't get tickets to something on the street, it's usually because you can still buy them at the gate.

Yea, funny how things change in a matter of literally minutes.

Went to pick up my daughter and suprise her about going to the game, it seems that her Swim Meet won't be finished until around 3:30pm, I felt like I was sick to my stomach because all day I've been pumped about this and the opportunity to see my Very first SECCG with my youngest Daughter.

Mumpy,
Go to Craig's List - Atlanta - Tickets - search sec championship

Prices are dropping and most auctions run out tonight. But, the point is, tickets are available!
