I live here in central Ky and the Wildcats aren't talkin about could they be us, they are counting on beating us. And if they do I will have to move....I don't even want to think about it...

If there is a season to beat the Vols it is this one. In 2001 we were supposed to beat UK. Do I think UK has a chance? Yes, to make it interesting. Do I think that UT will win? Yes. If UK somehow beats UGA then maybe I will raise an eyebrow:clapping: Richt is not gonna let that happen.

I'm just looking for clarification, but from what I understand there is no way UT can win the East without beating Kentucky. Is that correct?

Kentucky and Florida have been eliminated barring a three way tie, correct?

UK cannot go to Atlanta. They've been eliminated. It's down to UT, UF, and UGA. UT must win out to go to Atlanta. One UT loss and a UGA win, and UGA goes to Atlanta. If UGA loses to UK, the Dawgs are out. At this point, UF wins any tiebreaker, because a 2-way tie between UF and UGA for 1st is now impossible.

I'll simplify: Florida is just watching at this point. If UGA beats UK, then UF is out. If UK beats UGA, then UGA is out. If UT loses either of its last two games, UT is out. The Gators were actually helped by UK's win over Vandy, because it killed the possibility of a 2-way tie between UF and UGA.

No joke. I suppose when your "perfect" basketball coach has already lost to Gardner-Webb, you'll reach for any leg to stand on, even one that hasn't been up straight for 23 years.

Right now I view the UT-Kentucky game as a pick 'em game. While UT has looked good in its last couple of games, you have been vulnerable on the road. Kentucky is still looking to make a statement of its competitiveness in the SEC and Woodson is the real deal.

That game is going to be close.

I agree with your entire post, but nothing about C'wealth will intimidate UT. I'm not guaranteeing victory. I'm just saying that the Vols will not be scared of a place they haven't lost in since 1981 ('84 game was at UT).

kentucky has been a scary game on the schedule all year for me. if there was a year for the cats to beat the vols, this is it. hopefully ut will be clicking on all cylinders in lexington.

yes if ever there was a year that is theirs, it is this one.

since navy beat the tying irish (great game!), vols over cats is the longest streak of domination in 1A.

it would make the KY season to beat the vols, especially if we come in having beaten the commodedoors.

I swear the feeling on this board reminds me a lot of people's opinions coming out of the Mississippi State game. I'm optimistic too, but this is the same team that let Alabama throw on them all day long. I think that we take care of Vandy at home...but UK is going to give us some problems, attacking areas that we have not fixed.

Kentucky is terrible against the run. We can't stop a good passing attack. The game is on the road where we have lost three of four games to good passing teams Cal,Fl,Bama not so much. Anyway if this season plays out like its been going then kentucky has a better than average chance of ending our streak. Throw in the fact they will be real jacked up for it. This game has trouble written all over it. We need the arkansas gameplan for this one only we will have to put the ball in the endzone instead of settling for fieldgoals.

I guess I'm not the only one who came up with that one. :eek:lol:
