What do you expect from Oku?

I smell Travis Stephens similarities with Oku

I hope he has a monster year like Stephens did, too.

2001 was the first year I really followed the Vols as a kid, and I still remember him running all over the Gators in the Swamp that year. Probably my favorite Tennessee game ever.

i really like Oku...I have liked everything about him...

I thought that when we were in transition of a new coach his decommitment wasn't a bad thing. Heck, he committed to Fulmer then here came Kiffin. He backed off looked at everything rationally and still decided to come to Tennessee. He has gotten into No trouble that I am aware of.

He only got 23 carries for 94 yards last year. Keeping in mind that those carries were not important carries he still got 2 TD's.

I like the way he looked. I really think this kid can play. I expect big things from him. I am going to go on and call it now...David Oku...my favorite player

(now if he goes out and does something stupid I will be upset)

Wow, that means we are really going to suck worse than anyone thinks we are or he is going to take at least 4 or 5 back for TD.

The record holder for a single season at Tennessee is Willie Gault and his best year was under 700 yards.

Uhhh.... you better check your stats there buddy.

2009:

David Oku - 33 returns, 863 yards = 26.15 yards per return
2.54 returns per game

He'll go over 1000 yards in returns this year if he doesn't get hurt.

IMO he needs to be bigger to be an every down back in the SEC. I think he will end up as a 3rd down/2nd team back who will rest the starter. I think he's around ~5'8 and 180 lbs.

Oku should have a solid year as our 3rd down/passing down back. I just don't see Poole having near the carries that Hardesty did last season.

I think the 180 is before. There is rumors he's hovering around 200 currently. I like this kids attitude & work ethic. Oku has upside.

I seem to recall everyone saying the same thing about Travis Stephens before his senior year.

He will run back 3 kickoffs for TD's.
He will score 5 TD's from running plays.
He will have 800 total yards by the end of the year.

I don't understand why people still think that BB is coming back. Everything I have read over the past few weeks says he's gone. Am I missing something? What makes people think he is coming back?
Some people think Fulmer is on stand-by still, just in case.
