I was really excited about him coming out of HS.

He probably could have used a redshirt last year but he still showed some flashes.

So what do you all expect from him this year?-im hoping he is atleast our 2nd back as well as our return specialist.

I expect him to be handed the ball and then run preferrably in the opposite direction of the defense

I'd say hope more than expect - 250-300 yds rushing, the same amount receiving, and solid kick-off returns

Thanks

I just think he can be an exciting player for UT and was wondering if anyone else thought the same.

i think he will always remain a fan favorite, but i get the feeling that he will never peak the depth chart during his time here. sad, because i also had high hopes for him too. hes a good kid.

IMO his stats depend solely on if Bryce Brown returns to the team or not.

If BB returns I would say Oku gets about 250 YDS, 2 or 3 rusing TD's, and leads us in KR and PR yards with a return touchdown.

Without BB I say Oku gets about 400-450 YDS, 5 TD's, and also a return TD.

I don't understand why people still think that BB is coming back. Everything I have read over the past few weeks says he's gone. Am I missing something? What makes people think he is coming back?

Thing is we just dont know and that's because we dont know what kind of offense DD will run. New coach, new system, new players. The question would probably be better this time next year after we witness the product on the field.

I think Poole will have a little...no A LOT to say about that

I can't figure this out either. I mean the guy didn't participate in spring practice and isn't even in town anymore.....

I am hoping that he is used a lot on 3rd downs. Basically in the slot or as a receiving back. If Poole holds up, expect Oku to be in the 300-500yard range rushing and hopefully the same or better receiving.

Now on to the more important question. How is the Gooch going to perform this year?

Come on, guys. Its simple. Just like all players he's looking to the next level and working on more than just on the field moves. He's doing his best Brett Farve/Chris Johnson and holding out so he doesnt have to participate in those pesky manditory practices. If you wanna be a pro, got to act like a pro.

If you say so.
