CLK has let Tajh Boyd go....
He then signs no big QB, other than Petty....
He then announces that Crompton will be his starter, because he sees some potential in him....

What would the fan base think?

Just a random thought :)

You shouldn't think again. Ever.

If Kiffin could endure Jamarcus Russell, he can make it through anything.

He probably would still be the Raiders coach if he had've gotten him to throw all of his passes from his knees. Everybody said it was unbelievable he could throw the ball 70 yards from that position.

People just need to accept the possibility that the same three qbs we had this year will be duking it out again next year. Kiffin got too late of a start to get a top notch recruit that is his "ideal". If we can get through the next two years (once Kiffin's recruit is a soph), Kiffin will have his own qb who should be judged accordingly.

I personally think that Coleman has plenty of potential and should be a good qb in the future. I base this solely on Cutcliffe's opinion of him, which I understand to have been quite positive.

Crompton? They are already having to replace the grass where Crompton threw so many in the ground. Coleman or Stephens.... Crompton is done.

as much as i hope that is a problem we don't have to see become a reality...i'd like to have faith in CLK that he could use our qb's and make it work. i think i just threw up in my mouth...

Lane has a plan and he's going to implement it as best he can. I give him props for being upfront that he wants a PRO style QB and Boyd should look elsewhere. Honest and upfront.....I like that!

Trust in the Kiffin Vision! Comb back the hair, slide on the Kiffin visor, and put on your ORANGE colored glasses!

Our QB situation is really in the hole. If Lane Kiffin can make any of these QB's look decent, then he deserves Coach of the Year.

I concur, that would be a tall order to make good QBs out of these guys.
Yes, but look at the improvement that Cutcliffe got from Ainge sophmore to junior year. We could get decent to good from one of those three.

I think that one, if not more then one of the three quarterbacks will step it up completely next year. Although I would have liked to seen Boyd come, I think we will be fine without him.

If I was at church and someone told me this, I still might cuss  We would certainly see what kind of offensive staff we have with that scenario.

That really isn't true at all.

What would be really funny is if somehow, some way, the staff gets Crompton to play to his Rivals potential.

I looked at his recruiting profile a few months back and watched his HS video clips. He was a hell of a QB back then.

This is what I hope Kiffin and Co. do better than the last regime, and that's develop the players. I can't think of many UT players under Fulmer that actually improved in 4 years.

Don't forget Nick and BJ. They both have potential, under the right tutor.

I'd think that Kiffin had better be right, for his own sake...

And if Crompton actually played well, I'd think that Dave Clawson should be banned for life from coaching major-college football. (I don't believe Crompton being lousy is Clawson's fault, but the jury is still out on it.)
