i don't know if this is true or rumor but i've been hearing that there should a be a noticable price drop now that everything is digital and tvs will no longer have the expense of dual tuners. i guess in theory only having to put the digital tuner rather than digital and analog tuners would be cheaper but if this even is the case i'm sure the stores would sell out all the dual tuner ones before the single ones.
Most HD TVs have a built in ASTC tuner, not a QAM. And a QAM is a must to recieve HD signals without some sort of converter like a HD box or a HD antenna
