What do girls and Eric Berry have in common?

He's the best football player at his position in the country, just like he was last season, your retarded analysis of touchdowns against notwithstanding.Posted via VolNation Mobile

it's funny. i said the same thing in my mind, when reading that 6-1 comparison.

false. anyone that has played db or wr and is not completely ignorant knows that eric berry cut that route off. nice positioning by berry. i was mad the day of the game and still get mad when i hear the idiot former qb on cbs blaming the wr for that and berry not getting more credit.

I guess you have never played either position then, because Tebow threw the ball where Cooper was supposed to run the route. Cooper even said as mcuh after the game.

brush up on your reading comprehension. i never said tebow didn't throw the ball where that cooper was suppose to be. i said berry cut the route off like a good db will. by the way, i played both positions and have excelled at coaching dbs.

Cooper ran the wrong route, but I will let you feel good about your version considering the outcome of the game.

Excuse me. Did you not see Berry juke Tebow out of his shoes? You might wanna watch it again.

I did. Did you see Tebow burn Tennessee for 300 yards passing, 61 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns? I'm pretty sure EB was playing defense that whole game.

Dude please. Let's talk one on one here and stop trying to throw Tebow's game stats out there. Tebow is a great QB. He has stats like that against all teams. I like the kid, he deserves all the recognition that he gets. But compare them head to head, and Tebow is not going to overshadow Berry, and you know it.

Oh, I disagree. One Heisman trophy, 2 national Championships, 2 Maxwell awards, 1 Manning Award, 1 Davy O'Brien Award, 2 Time SEC offensive player of the year, 1 Wuerffel Trophy, SEC Scholar athlete of the year, Sporting News player of the year, NCAA QB of the year, 1 James Sullivan Amateur athlete of the year, Rivals National College player of the year, Rivals SEC player of the year, 1 Harley Award, AP player of the year, Roy Kramer SEC athlete of the year, etc.etc.etc.

I could go on but it's getting tiring.

Berry- 2008 SEC Defensive Player of the Year, 2008 Jack Tatum Award Winner, 2008 Vince Dooley Award, 2007 National Defensive Freshman of the Year,2007 SEC Freshman Defensive Player of the Year .

There is your head to head comparison. Berry is a great player but I do think Tebow does overshadow him a bit.

Eric Berry will no doubt be one of the top defensive backs in the NFL, whereas it is still questionable whether or not Tebow will start/play as a QB in the NFL. Don't get me wrong as I'm actually a Tebow fan (gotta respect his ethics and dedication), but there's a question as to whether or not his style of play will be successful at the next level.

.....

So you discount his accomplishments/contributions in 1 thread and taught them in another. Nothing like being consistently inconsistent.

Oh please. Of course a QB is going to win more awards than a defensive back. That's why only one defensive player has ever one the heisman. That's a ridiculous argument. You do realize their have only been 8 heisman winners to make it to the pro football hall of fame don't you? As far as the NC goes, who's to say UF would not have won them without Tebow? They did it with Leak as the primary QB and did it in a big way. If you want to compare the two, you better do more than look at awards.

I say line them up on the field in a drill and we will see if Tebow overshadows Berry. Even let Berry take his turn carrying the ball and Tebow tackling. My guess is Berry would make him look stupid 4 out of 5 times just like he did in the video when he juked him mid field and Tebow had his head down. I don't think Tebow would want to take a hit from Berry 5 times in a row either.

You are funny. :eek:k: But I will play along.

First of all Tebow is a QB so he doesn't get a lot of practice tackling. That said, Tebow is 6'3" 240 and benches 480 pounds, squats 600. Berry is quicker, but Tebow would truck him 5 out of 5 times.

LOL- that's the easiest 'juke' to put on a guy in a one on one situation. you have tebow running backwards with no angle, and berry running full speed with two options, sideline or cutback. all you have to do is fake one way, get the guy turned around, and go the other, the little hesitation is all you need. its textbook- 6 yr olds learn this in flag football and there is no way to defend it one on one. most of you could have got by, it wasn't anything special.
as far as tebow vs. berry. one is 240 and has already set most of the his teams strength records (whole team, not just skill guys), the other is 205 soaking wet. don't get me wrong, berry is a great player, but to suggest berry would lay the wood on tebow in any situation is laughable at best. you can't stop a bowling ball with a baseball.

:lolabove:

Eric Berry is a Ronnie Lott type player, smaller in size but could hit harder than anyone. I would take EB 5 out of 5 times, any day of the the week and twice on Sunday.
