What Did You Shell Out for Season Tickets?

I know I’m old but for my first game, we purchased two tickets for the face value of $22 per ticket and, I thought that was sky high! That was when I was in high school. Several years later in grad school, tickets were free but if you purchased an extra ticket, it was only $10.

I'm 68 and can't hit every game like I once could. Even though ticketmaster jacks up the resale, when you sell there, I've come out ahead each year and still get to go to a couple of games. So basically, the games I sell pays for next seasons tickets. My seats are a little unique, I'm in one of the cheaper sections (uppder deck east) which sucks in the afternoon Sept. games. Sun very bright, but I'm also on row 1, and I love it because I'm short and don't have to get my view blocked by the guy in front of me.

When I think about the price of everything else these days (including other sporting events), I just don’t view these ticket prices as being that high.

Now if you’d like to discuss the cost of hotel rooms in Knoxville on football weekends? Those numbers are staggering to me.
