Watermann's Seaside Grill in VA Beach is where its at. She Crab Soup with fresh bread that will make you slap your momma. Fresh Flounder stuffed with fresh Chesapeake Bay Crab, mashed taters and sauteed veggies. Washed down with an Orange Crush (1 1/2 fresh squeezed oranges, orange vodka, triple sec and a splash of sprite on the rocks).
Your uppityness knows no bounds...

Leftovers: cuban roast pork, rice and black beans, hash brown casserole, grape tomatoes.

Oh, and caramel pie for desert.

So I assume it turned out well for you.

By the way, I meant to ask you how your Smoked Duck soup turned out.

Sorry. Well not really because it was awesome. :p

Last night: Pizza with black olives, garlic, onions and bananna peppers. The wife wasn't very affectionate after that and I don't understand why.

Sounds good!

My wife actually made the caramel pie and the duck soup. They both turned out delicious. The duck soup had a hint of smokey flavor, and she added the leftover duck meat, some leftover roast beef meat, assorted veggies and some rice flour noodles that we had from the asian market.

You know how the caramel pie was. She used a regular pie crust, lightly browned, spread on the caramel, sprinkled on chocolate chips and pecan pieces, topped it with cool whip when she served it. Very rich, but good. So much for the diet, haha.

Thanks for the inspiration on both!

Trivol, you and Lyls must have joined the same day last year. Both of you should be getting your first star tomorrow.

I know. He has smoked me in post count but I'm hoping VG makes us both a Giraffe sammich.

FWIW.

I use regular pie crust for a couple of recipes. I've never tried this with Caramel pie, but you have me thinking about it. Press finely chopped pecan pieces in a raw crust, including the edge (about 3 or 4 tbls) then toast it. I could eat it by itself.
