Wife and I went on a date last night. Had a bunch of excellent sushi. Also had spicy vegetable soup that was really spicy and really good. I'm being reminded this morning of just how spicy.

Last night a hungry man microwave dinner. That was a great dinner brownie, corn, mash potatoes and 3 pieces of chicken.
I was full after eating that.

I just had a sirloin at Chili's that is probably one of the best steaks I've ever had. I'm a ribeye girl when it comes to steak, but this steak tonight was absolutely delicious.

My wife got a sirloin at Cracker Barrel when we came up for the North Texas game. That was one of the best steaks I've tasted in a restaurant.

I fixed my wife one of her favorites of my creations: seared scallops with gnocchi, mushroom blend, peas, and red pepper beurre blanc. Sounds crazy, but it's a dish I'm very proud of.

We call it Biscuit Heads because we don't know its real name, but my wife makes pork and beans, adds hamburger meat, and then bakes it with a layer of biscuits on top. So f-ing good.

Anybody know what this is called?

Hot dogs and chips. Also, about half a steak ny wife didn't finish last night.

Flat iron on the Kamado. I swear, that's the best beef you can cook for the money. Sliced it thin, topped with some mushrooms and red wine/demi glace, roasted baby yukon potatoes and grilled zucchini on the side.

Looks like a brandy glass to me but he could be drinking some other kind of liquor. Pretty sure that's not beer though.

Weird, huh? I'm pretty picky about steaks, which is why I end up spending $20 a pound for prime ribeyes, when they're on sale, and hardly ever order steak at a restaurant. However, I've had some good steaks in places you would never expect. I once ate a steak at Applebee's, where I haven't been for at least 12 years, that was excellent. Ya never know.

If you like steak, spend some time in Argentina. Was there for a month in '13. Holy moly.
