What did you have for dinner?

Green beans with country ham simmered, homemade velveeta Mac and cheese, carrots with brown sugar and cornbread.

Fried chicken, fresh green beans stir fried with baby bella mushrooms and gypsy peppers, and mashed potatoes. Watermelon for desert.

Not gorgeous but not bad. Not used to doing beans that way. I grew up eating beans cooked to mush so crisp is new to me.

Still waiting on this answer too. We call them fluffy or slick. I can't make good dumplings to save my life.

Fun fact. My girlfriend had a linguistics class in college at UK. She did a report of some kind on the different words used to describe the same thing based on where in the country the words were being used. The one she references when she's talked about it is that weather reports in the south refer to the roads as slick, while in the north they say slippery.

From this we can assume that krazykat is in fact a yankee :wink2:

Wife not feeling good so we didn't make church dinner. I made pork chops, green beans, and baked taters.
