What did you have for dinner?

Went out for wife's birthday. I ordered fish and chips and added shrimp to the meal. Fish was ok, but when I asked for malted vinegar the waitress looked at me like I was from Mars. She asked her manager about it and came back and told me they did not have malted vinegar. I do not believe either of them had ever heard of it.

Where? Even Captain D's has malt vinegar. That's crazy.

Local place here in Arkansas, I wonder why fish and chips were even on the menu. Weird thing was - the fish (cod) was pretty good just bland without the vinegar. I am also surprised that no one else had ever asked for it. Maybe it is not a popular item or maybe people dunk it in tartar sauce - yuck!!

Everybody knows tartar sauce is for the fries. :)
