Make sure you rub it down with cooking oil after each use. I use avocado oil. That’s what I do every time and no rust. I have seen videos where people have cleaned theirs with a wire brush and reseasoned it and they were good as new. Good luck buddy.Question for you flat top grillers. I went to make quesadillas tonight & opened my blackstone & it was rusted to the point that it was flaking off & im gonna have to get a new one. I kept a lid on it and a nylon cover on it at all times. Is there anything I can do to keep this from happening on the new one?

A friend gave us her blackstone that she’d only used a few times. The cooktop showed significant rust but it was only surface rust. We cleaned it using the Blackstone cleaner a couple of times then when through a seasoning process and all is good. Mrs Wireless found the process onlineQuestion for you flat top grillers. You should be able to reseason it as others have said. I just make sure I have a good layer of oil on it when I shut down after a cook. I actually use Crisco and it works beautifully.Question for you flat top grillers.
