What did you have for dinner II?

My wife and I dined in our first restaurant since all of this started. We ate at Toro in Morristown. The restaurant was clean...almost too clean. It smelled like bleach. Also, prices have went up considerably. However, the food was good and the staff was able to keep everyone distanced and everything clean.

It’s a whole new world out there.

Grilled sirlion and corn on the cob.

On a side note, I've recently started doing compound butter for steaks. Now they just aren't done without it. It's great on popcorn too.
I'm going to make a compound butter with tea, actually, for some baked goods for my wife's shop.

Tonight I had Japanese curry, gyoza, and Asahi from the local Japanese place. Basically what I lived on while I went to school in Japan! IMG_20200509_202341.jpg

You live near there? I normally go through there on my way back to visit my family in Kentucky. Usually go up to Cherokee lake and meet my buddy to fish every year.

Huh....I might have to try that.
The main difference is you basically have to melt the butter all the way, let the tea steep as if it's in water, then strain the leaves out, and bam, tea flavored butter. It's not as simple as the herb ones, but I've been desperately looking for a way to make tea-flavored cookies and stuff and this may be it.

Yeah, I’m recovering from surgery on Clearwater Beach, can’t beat it, I thought I was just staying at my parents while I recovered. Turns out I’m actually staying at a fancy restaurant. L O L

Very impressive meals you’re getting there. Your mom must be an excellent cook.
It will make it tough to leave.
You’re fortunate to be there while recovering.
