What did the Seattle interview mean?

I blame a little bit of the backlash on Gruden for setting the fan base up for disappointment. He really should have squashed it all at some point.

Why the hell did Jon Gruden give the Rocky Top shout out in his Seattle interview?

1. Was he flat out trolling?
2. Was he trying to promote his brand?
3. Was he reaching out to Tennessee???

Here is what we need to do:

1. Clean house starting with Currie and Davenport
2. Fulmer and Manning responsible for post-mortem reporting to Vol fan base
3. Fulmer and Manning responsible for search committee and search firm

Right now, my relationship with Tennessee is undergoing that process where you deciding whether your going to work through it or get a divorce. And I think the key to all the answers is the Gruden Seattle shout-out. If he was trolling he is dead to me. If he was reaching out to John Currie, I'm absolutely done with Tennessee football.

As I and others stated. Y'all are looking for clues in everything. Not everything means he's coming to coach UT.

This was posted in another thread and might explain grudens actions. Sounds like he got played like the rest of us.

This. And I still can't believe so many on here haven't figured out the selfish game he's been playing for a very long time.

I agree. Gruden is a selfish SELF promoter. We and it pains me to say this idiots bite and give him the free advertisement he wants. Really we should charge for all the advertisement we give him. And people play it off like oh its TNs fault not Jon Gruden. We screwed it up. In all reality Jon Gruden and the admin play you and you keep going back to the well.
