Can they re-open the QB position or are they limited to choosing only Stephens or Coleman?

Give Stephens a half against Northern Illinois. They have to do something at this point or they risk completely losing what's left of the team.

Gerald Jones. Unless Stephens or Coleman is a gamer, he is our only hope to even be competetive. I just posted in another thread, Crompton didn't complete a pass in the 4th quarter.

Ask Raleigh if he has any pitchers we can borrow.

What I was really asking was if CPF could bring in anybody new at this point.

What like someone from the student body? At this point we just have to go with someone else and hope Stephens or Coleman can mature for next year (oh yes people, dont forget, JC will be on the team next year as well)

I'm 90% certain a walk on can join the team and play. But, of course, they have to be already enrolled at UT.

I kinda doubt that. I smell a transfer.

B/c of the coaching staff or his ability? What is the point of even having a player of his caliber if your not going to put the ball in his hands as much as possible. He's not very useful as a WR with a QB that doesn't know the plays

transfrer to where? he hasnt had a good game yet. smaller schools are going to see that he cant make a completion, and that he's not smart. most of them probably have better qb's than him anyway.

I can't see his parents allowing him to stay at a school where he is fast becoming a goat. I didn't mean he would transfer to play somewhere else. I just don't think he will stay at UT if the QB thing doesn't work out.

They aren't the ones paying for his education. Even though I have an obvious displeasure for Cromp, parents need to shut their mouths and let him decide. Even though he sucks, he is still a Vol.

I disagree. He is a 4th year junior, so he should be graduating soon and he'll just graduate and move on. Maybe he can move to DC and help out Shuler up there.

Do you seriously see him staying at Tennessee if he is demoted? I just can't picture it playing out like that.

Crompton is plain old ineffective. Forget throwing them in the dirt or 20 yards out of bounds on third and four, he can't even hand the ball off. He's had his chance, let's move on.

i do agree, though...if he stayed at UT next year, he'd probably hear a lot more than he wanted to. he could always drop out early and go work for espn.

it's almost as if fulmer and crew are expecting him to have this huge break out game. it is kind of hard to believe the 2nd or 3rd ranked qb in the nation coming out of high school can play this badly.
