Was beat Vanderbilt with basically our 2nd string. Sure we had a few starters playing, but we also had some 3 deeps starting as well. We have a tackle who has no ligaments in his knee. Reality is, that it has been painful to watch, but what this team did was just short of miraculous. The only way this team accomplished 6 wins this year, was pure and utter will power. These freshmen, and sophomores are some tough SOB's. Our juniors and seniors, what's left of them, are the grittiest group we've had here in a long while. This team has earned my respect this year. Fighters to the bitter end. No quit in this bunch. They are relentless. Hats off to them. GBO

I agree. He did what he should have done against Vandy last year. Run the ball. Then run the ball some more.

People can talk all they want about Vandy being an awful team, and for 11 games this year they were, but they were not an awful team last night. Their defense came to play. They probably played their best game of the year against Tennessee and looked like a Franklin-coached team. I didn't see any idiotic play calls by Mason, and in fact, I thought he called a pretty good game against us overall.

Im just ready to get some healthy players back for the bowl game. Hopefully we get a bowl win and a top 5 recruiting class that will cement a good four to five years of winning football. Go Vols!

I promise you we don't have a tackle with no ligaments in his knee. Gilliam has a torn ACL. If he had no ligaments in his knee, his whole lower leg would be flopping around

Been thinking about this as well. But to be fair, all teams are injury stricken at this time of the season. Worley, AJ, North, Hurd, Williams, Croom (50% at best?) Pretty impressive that we were able to win without all that leadership on the field

Excellent job coaches! We have been so decimated with injuries this year and we just kept digging until the very end. This schedule was literally insane. I can't believe we finished with 6 wins! Get healthy and practice, practice, practice. This bowl will keep the boys and coaches hungry. Winning is all about effort and now our team has proof.

I know no one wants to even think about his, but just how bad would the Vols be if Dooley were still coach. UT is in it's present state even with last year's highly rated recruiting class.

The Vols game is Vandy's super bowl.
