What Bowl?

I want the Music City against anybody but Maryland. What a boring team to play. Who the eff wants to play the Turtles? Seriously.

Definitely not the '02 Vols...that's for sure.

Or NC state today, apparently.

It looks like LSU is going to lose to Ark but SEC should still get two teams in BCS bowls. I think we need Georgia to lose since there are already 8 SEC teams bowl eligible. It only would help us get a better bowl. Tennessee with a 4 game win streak would be more attractive than Kentucky or Georgia at 6-6 also.

Gator Bowl takes MS State in that case. They would still be 7-5 with a loss today, but with wins over Florida and Georgia. They've got one more win than us. If they lose to Ole Miss they still have 3 SEC wins, just like us, but their wins are against better competition (albeit slightly).

I'm just throwing hypotheticals. And I think the chick fil a would snag them over florida anyway.

I fully expect us to play in nashville.

That's what I am thinking.

So, let's assume wins by LSU, Florida and Mississippi St.

Ah, we should never assume in College Football. What happens if all three lose? Not saying Miss. State will, but so far 2 outta 3 have, is that good for us?

Unless a bowl committee loses their minds, none of that matters. We can't logically* skip over MS State or Florida. They have more wins than us.

* = not that bowl committees are 100% logical

The team we should be rooting for is Georgia Tech. That solidifies us in the Music City.

BCS - Auburn
Sugar - Arky
Citrus - LSU
Cotton - Bama
Outback - South Carolina
Gator - Miss State
Peach - Florida
Music - Vols
Liberty - Georgia
Pizza bowl - Kentucky

I think this is where we are right now and how things will play out...

Here's my best guess....

NCG - Auburn
Sugar - Arkansas
Citrus - LSU
Cotton - Bama
Outback - Carolina
Peach - Mississippi State
Gator - Florida
Music City - Tennessee
Compass - Georgia
Liberty - Kentucky

What about the Independence Bowl (the one in Shreveport, LA)? Is that a possibility? Since I am currently stationed at Fort Hood, it would be an easy drive for me. However, I don't know what the possibilities are for us. I'm just d@mn happy we're going bowling! A few more weeks of practice and good for recruiting! Go Vols!!!!!!!!

I don't think the SEC is connected to the Independence bowl anymore. I think it is the ACC v/s Mountain west.

Tennessee will play in the Music City Bowl. Florida wouldn't bring enough fans to watch it, you really think they would travel deep to see them play in that bowl after the last couple years? Think again. These bowls can select whoever the hell they want.

Tennessee will be in the MCB, go ahead and buy your tickets.

Did you see the number of fans they brought to the Vanderbilt game? Florida fans travel well.
