i know we are. but that doesn't change the fact that the current system is still a complete crock that makes choices based on the amount of revenue generated rather than a team's prestige outside of the major bowls. it should be all the more reason why we need a playoff, but also all the more reason why we won't see one for awhile. until there's a way to keep the money flowing while at the same time having a playoff format we're still stuck with what we've got unfortunately. i want to see ut in post-season play, but i also want to see the system work right.

I am glad that the "according to sources close to the situation" likely bowl destination will be an "official invite" soon. (Wherever it might end up being).

This has been a weird week chasing all the rabbits that were the bowl rumors for UT. BRING ON THE OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!

Sources also said that Luc was a Vol. I think it's more likely than not that UTK will be at the Peach/Chicken but I am sure that UGA is lobbying thier rears off as we speak crowing about how they finished the season by taking apart the ACC champion. I think that for the most part, the bowls will be as we have expected for most of this week but things could be in a state of flux and it's probably better to hope for the best and prepare for the worst at this point.

btw, the Chick-fil-A bowl website seems to be down.

Tennessee vs. North Carolina in Nashville boys... Music city bowl is no PIC NIC. I live in nashville, it will be cold and nobody will see it. SORRY>>>>>> Clemson vs. UGA in Peach..........

If we end up in the Music City Bowl then the powers that be need to sit down and restructure this current bowl setup. if we aren't going to have a playoff system we at least need to make the bowl setups fair.
And why are there no PAC 10/SEC matchups? The two best conferences aren't playing each other in postseason is absurd..

No. Georgia Tech was expected to beat Clemson tonight and they did. This will not change anything for the Chick-Fila bowl reps. They expected GT to beat Clemson and they did, so UT will play VT in the Chick-Fila bowl with Georgia playing Clemson in the Music City or maybe Independence Bowl.
