arkansas has never, and will never win an SEC championship. Kentucky, Ole Miss, and South Carolina will before you ever do...rest assured.
oh ok. that is NICE-- well one thing I did not like is losing to MSU -- we have not lost to them in 10 years and it was a slap in the face. You are right competition has increased from smaller teams in the SEC but again we will be just fine -- next season we will 7-8 games -- wish I could say the same for you all....

um...so let me get this straight (just to let you know i lived in arkansas for 7 years recently)...Nutt out recruited us on Felix Jones and Mitch Mustain out of ND's hands and our hands?. He also gets action? And the problem you have with Nutt is?
obviously, you did not read the post...Mustain had no where else to go b/c of his late de-commit (he later transfered to USC). Felix Jones was not sold on Arkansas, he chose TN however the only place that would let him play RB was Arky...that was not Nutt's great recruiting. Matt Jones, Hillis, and McFadden committed to Arky as Juniors b/c they grew up Hog fans. Nutt did not have to recruit any of these players. Nutt got a few mid-level recruits from Texas while at UA but was not able to get a single highly recruited players from Florida, California, or any of the the rust belt or north east. His recruiting reach is very limitied. By the way I have lived here almost 12 (long) years. The only thing worse than Nutt is Arky fan!

Missed the posts leading up to your response, but I assume you're a Hogs fan? No shame there. To each his own.

7-8 wins next season...wish you could say the same for us...

You can't. I understand. I think next season is probably a 9 win season, plus or minus one.

Can we win the SEC East next year? Probably not. UF looks awfully strong. Then there's UGA.

Can you win the SEC West next year? Probably not. Bama looks awfully strong. Then there's LSU, Auburn, Mississippi, and Mississippi State.

:)

Go Vols.

Volenteer fans are pretty riled up tonight. You're usually much more friendly than this. I've always respected Tennessee as a program. Many Razorback fans do.

Best of luck to Tennesee in your coaching search. But please believe me. You do not want Houston Nutt as a coach if you think you have it bad now with CPF. You really don't.

Once Coach O's players cycle out, and Nutt's players cycle in, you'll understand what I'm saying. Someone said it earlier - Nutt will beat a highly ranked team once in awhile (hence the national exposure), but then lose two weeks in a row to unranked nobodies at home.

He proved that cycle is still alive. Beats Florida on the road, then loses to Vanderbilt at home. He is as inconsistant as they come. BTW, this was the first year Houston Nutt has ever beat Florida.

It's interesting to me that after all the attempts, he finally did it - with someone else's players.

gemleck, you're pretty lucky. I'm willing to overlook all the absolute nonsense in your posts, just because I'm enjoying looking at Maria too much. She's no Ana, but that's a great picture of her.

He turned ole miss around in 1 year and beat UF/Meyer in G'ville, which UT's only done once in years. At UT, he could do big things.

Yea because he walks into ideal situations with real qbs. Look how he turned around Arkansas in 98. Then he started to recruit.... and ..... yea. Houston Nutt coached games where DMAC would run over 200 yards and still lose.

Nutt wouldn't be my first choice, but if he came to UT, I wouldn't be too upset. He's had a lot of success at Arkansas and now at OM, and he does have a track record of turning things around in a hurry.

I don't know if a lot of fans would accept him, though. UT has been competing against him for years, and this would be his third job in the SEC. Plus, he's a lot of like Fulmer in that his philosophies are very old-school. You will never see a Houston Nutt team running a spread offense.

If he were hired, first thing I would tell Nutt is that he owes us one for '99... :hmm:

i believe this guy would be amazing at tennessee. Saban asked LSU to hire him as he left for the dolphins. the guy is one of the best gameday coaches in the game. I love his style of coaching and I believe he coaches his players up better than anyone. just a thought. i hadn't heard anyone mention him...

Give Nutz a few years to run this program into the ground, like he did at Arkansas........the thing is, everyone knows that the Nutz-Sax is a great coach, but his recruiting is suspect, with serious inconsistency from one year to the next.....remember, it's Orgeron who loaded this team up, just NUTZ came in, and got to coach em up.........easy to do with a loaded team......

Overall, a dumb post.....

I'd put my money on Arkansas way before I'd put it on Kentucky, Ole Miss, or South Carolina.
