Don't mind Beef. He's like the rest of the intellegencia, and I'm using that word as loosely as possible, in Arkansas who believe a loopy, bigoted, senile toad is the kind of guy who should be the face of one's athletic department. Two people have never deserved each other more than Petrino and Broyles. KKK Frank gets to spend the diaper wearing years of his pathetic existence watching Petrino bring in the cast of The Longest Yard.

You could not be more wrong. Just like you thought I like Dickey. I have no use for Broyles. Try something else.

You suck up to every decision the doddering old fool has made since you've been here. I judge actions.

People need to stop talking about winning with someone else talent. If the other guy can't win with them, and you can, it says something.

Just pointing out that he left a team with no talent and went to another that had quite a bit.

If that is the case then we should all consider Larry Coler a great coach and Give Davis no credit.

It isn't the same situation. Davis didn't have all star recruits for years. They were just hitting their peak, and went 11-1 when those stars were sophomores/juniors with Davis at the helm. Davis had the program high on the rise and left for a better job. It wasn't like he consistently failed with his own guys.

Davis went 11-1 the year before Coker took over. How many SEC games did Ole Miss win last year?

You're crazy as hell. Appreciating what someone has done in their career and sucking up to them is quite different. FB stayed way to long and was a fool at the end. As far as him being a member of KKK? I wouldnt know anything about that and if he is would have even less use for him.

My point is that some coaches leave more talent than they came in to. And there is no arguing that Nutt left Arky empty as hell.

Was Arkansas like a powerhouse when Nutt took over? Nutt got guys like McFadden, Jones, and although he ended up a bust, a highly touted Mustain. I wouldn't say he failed at recruiting.

Yeah, because it's easy to recruit when the inbred trash and looneys who make up 80% of the Arkansas fan base are taking the side the side of a glorified high school coach who is sleeping with one of your QBs mom, the AD is having meetings to field complaints from typical Arkansas garbage who think D-I football is an episode of Friday Night Lights. morons are flying banners over the stadium on gameday, and you are spending time answering FOIA requests.

One of the TV Analyst for the Ole Miss-LSU game said that Saban had recommended Nutt as his replacement. That's the first time I had heard that.

Why would you listen to Nick Saban when you have Beef and Gus Malzahn telling you Nutt isn't a good coach?

Didn't intend to start such a commotion. But for anyone to try and justifiably compare the davis\coker situation in miami to the disaster that broyles and gus gus put nutt in is worth a lot more than just a chuckle or two. Ole Miss is going to be bowl bound for years to come while petrino will wrap arky in so many scandals they could very well wind up with the same fate as SMU.

Untrue...look at the amount of Juniors that left arkansas two years ago. If he had the talent last year at arkansas that left he would have been playing for the SEC championship instead of LSU...and i must remind you that he beat LSU last year with Arkansas talent. He is a stud! I would take him in a heart beat...he looks like an imbred puppy but coaches like a bat out of hell.

Nutt is an extremely underrated coach.

The feeling around here toward Nutt would be much different if not for Billy Ratliff in 1998.

Darren McFadden was going to be a Razorback regardless of who was coaching at Arkansas. He was an in-state recruit who dreamed of playing at Arkansas since the first day he touched a football. Both Darren and his mother have said this.

Ditto Peyton Hillis, now the starting rookie fullback for the Denver Broncos. His mother called Arkansas before Houston Nutt even knew who he was.

Mustain is now the number two guy at Southern Cal. Which means he would be a starter on most other teams. Hardly a bust. True. It did not work out for him at Arkansas, but that's a whole other story.

Felix Jones was recruited out of Tulsa, OK by Danny Nutt. Not Houston.

Indeed, Houston Nutt left Arkansas depleted of talent. Why do you think Arkansas started up to 17 true freshmen this season?

Clearly, you don't fully understand the situation at Arkansas. At least not to the point of making such negative comments about the internal workings of a program in which you obviously know nothing about. Stop listening to all the hate on ESPN, and learn for yourself.

BTW - Nutt to Tennessee would be a disaster for the Volenteers. Most Razorback fans would rather have Fulmer instead of Nutt.

Houston Nutt is just good enough to lose. And Ole Miss will learn this soon enough.

Not no..but hell no!!!!! I have lived in Little Rock for the past 11+ yrs and know that his guy is nothing more than a snake-oil salesman. He wins the occasional big game but loses way too many sure-win games. He looks good w/ other coaches players (currently at ole piss he has Orgerons players...his first few years at Arky, he had Danny Fords recruits) but lacks recruiting abilities. He was not the coach who came up with the wild-cat offense..that was David Lee who is now with the dolphins. Nutt is extremely hard-headed about is type of football and play-calling which was part of his downfall in Arky (and of course the lying to prize recruits/parents to get them to sign on the dotted line). HE IS BAD NEWS!

Felix Jones originally commited to Tennessee (he was being recruited by UT, Arky, and Texas A&M) a few days prior to signing day. The next day, UT picked up a commit from a 4 star RB out of NC (Jones was a 3 star RB). CFP called Jones and told him he would no longer be used as a RB but rather a DB. Since Arky was the only school willing to let Jones be a RB (Texas A&M wanted him to be a DB), he changed his commitment the next day.

Mustain wanted to go to Notre Dame.....he decommited from Arky (origianlly commited at the end of his Jr HS season) to seek a scholy from Weiss. Weiss already had 2 of the top 10 QB's in the country commited and refused to give Mustain anything more than a chance to walk-on. Mustain's mom wanted him to check into UT which lead to a visit from Cuttcliff. Nutt hired Mustain's HS coach to re-recruit him (promising to install a spread offense) and the other Spingdale prize recruits. Mustain called Weiss the last day prior to signing day for one last attempt to go to Notre Dame. He ended up at Arky by default. Nutt tried to fire Malzhan a month after signing Mustain and never implemented the spread. The parents of those Springdale students came out and publically called Nutt out for lying to their sons.....that was one of the major reasons for Nutt's outing from Arky (he also reportedly had an affair w/ a Ft. Smith news woman).

um...so let me get this straight (just to let you know i lived in arkansas for 7 years recently)...Nutt out recruited us on Felix Jones and Mitch Mustain out of ND's hands and our hands?. He also gets action? And the problem you have with Nutt is?

Who cares we are ranked #16 in the nation in recruiting right now where is Ole Miss. No where to be seen. We made the right choice and when we get back to the SECC game maybe this time we actually win it.

Rivals.com - Football Recruiting

Nutt will get his and I hope he stays around to get it thrown right back at him. I think we hang 60 points on his team next year...........,,.
