What are your gameday traditions?

Other than being at the game and tailgating. When you cant be at the game what do you do before a game? What are some of the things you always do?
I have some things that I always do as sort of a good luck thing such as I always have a 2 litter of Orange crush on hand ( I dont drink beer). Starting at 7 am I play Rocky Top every hour. Start the bbq up and smoke a few ribs and other things. Then watch the game by myself, other than my dog who I have trained to howl whenever she hears the words touchdown Tennessee.

I have some, but rather than be ridiculed for being superstitious, I'll just tell one. I wear the same shirt/jersey every week, unless they lose. Then I change it up.
Also I always watch YouTube tennessee related videos, to get hyped before every game, no matter what.

I wake up, get dressed in my orange, and smile at the fact that the Tennessee Vols are my team. There is absolutely nothing like Tennessee Football.

GO VOLS!!!

College game day all morning, college games untill the Tenn game. Throw on a jersey or a t-shirt (anything that is orange and Tenn related i'm wearing) and watch it with my dad and brother.. Nothin better.

pretty much just watch college game day until the noon games come on and watch all the games until Tennessee gametime

Spend many hours panicking that we are going to lose. Watch every game that comes on tv thinking that both teams are better than the Vols by their appearance. Watch the game and see us come out losing to Memphis. Finish the game with 50+ points. Put the razor blade down. I spend the 6 days up to the game talking infinite trash with people at work and then turn into Chicken Little on Saturday from the safety of my house.

I wake up, if I am scheduled to work I call in normally some stomach related illness. Throw on the game jersey I wear every gameday. Drive to the liquor store for a bottle of jack and 2 cases of steel reserve. Enjoy some smoke, and watch my vols kick A**

i wake up shower then dress in my orange then dress my four kids in ut gear if we win then i put them and myself in the same exact gear the next weak im reaL bad superstitious im so bad that if we are winning i make everyone stay in the same seat they been in from the start of game

Can't say here what I do but it involves Shirley, locked doors, drawn drapes, furniture moved aside, and role playing. :yes:

I work shift work so some saturdays I am stuck here at work! Someone usually sneaks in there lap top and we access our company's wifi so they can't track us while we are um supposedly working! We bring in food to cook and take turns checking on what's going on in the work area!

I live out of state, so I only get to go to a couple games a year. The other Saturdays are usually like this: Wake up, start coffee, take shower, watch English Premier Soccer while drinking coffee, mow yard, watch college gameday, then watch games before watching the Vols. It can't always be this way, but I sure do love it when it can. of course, having a wife and a 13 month old always throws a wrench into all this. (not that I would trade them for the world or ten NC's)

Play Aggie War Hymn on the stage stereo as loud as it goes.
Read the paper.
Catch College Gameday and eat a bite or two.
First beer by 11:00 am.
Set up ladder golf and ping pong table.
Move the grill out front.
Greet my guest as they arrive.
Watch the Aggies Win.

I get up and do whatever honeydews I have on the list. I get a case of beer and watch all the games to see if we may be able to break the top 25. i curse the tv and scream at bad plays and missed calls. I then revert to drinking more and then call it a night. I used to drink less, but fulmer got me drinking more at the end. I also build a bon fire in the back yard when they win and drink til the sun comes up, or til it gets too cold outside and my jeep doesnt provide enought comfort... whatever, I cannot wait til the season begins... this season will be special... i gotta feeling.:loco:

- Wear an Orange shirt for home games and white one for away games. If we win, I stay with the shirt until we lose

- I make anyone watching with me do the same. If they don't have a UT shirt, I make them go to my closet and get one.

- I have to have my 1998 National Championship football that my dad gave me with me.

- Always sit in my UT chair.

- Put some soft items on the table beside me so I have something relatively safe to throw if the game doesn't go our way.

- Set my alarm in the morning to Rocky Top. I have 8 versions on my phone so if we win that game, I use that version next Saturday.

- If we win, I stick with my game shirt. If we lose, I wear a black on the rest of the day and on Sunday.

That's all I got.

I eat chicken wings. Started that in 1995. If I do not eat chicken wings during the week of a game if we win I at em again. If we loose I dont.:rock:

I wake up and make my wife throw me my Jersey because I wont set a foot on the ground till I'm wearing it. Cup of coffee from my UT mug. Breakfast on my UT plate. Set up a shrine around the TV of all my UT gear. Then start drinking beer out of my UT Stein.

Hilarious! I have a few friends just like that.

I happen to be just the opposite-or always was until I grew older. I always though anybody had a good chance to beat the Vols until Saturday (or gameday) dawned. On the day itself, Vols were always invincible in my head. I never bet on gameday itself because of that.

I'm more even keel now. Still jumpy as all get out after all these years-like it was my first game, but not so polarized.

College Gameday (Pending on the time of the UT game) Stop at a gas station, get a drink, Park at McDonalds fo FREE, Vol Walk, Game, Monsters on the way home. Oh yes. :loco:
