My response wasn't that I don't like it, I don't, or I think it's bad, but I'm surprised Mal does. I know he likes a lot of the same stuff I do. No big deal

I've gotten the impression that you like music.
I've known a lot of people who went. Never met anyone who didn't enjoy it.

Reversed from the US, the north of England (and to some extent Scotland) is where you find the nearly empty former mill towns, the mills and mines long since shuttered, all the economy sent to the south of England or overseas, the young people leaving, never to return, or staying, living off welfare. A relatively few small farms still hang on, trying to compete with Big Ag, immigrants running corner convenience stores and cafes. And London shows no signs of caring, I suppose because London is Fabulously Rich. (Not necessarily most Londoners, though.)
