The Garden probably beat the crap out of Knoxville, concert wise.
All things are relative; however, my experience with MSG was not good.
I walked many blocks across Manhattan in the rain as I was too cheap to take a cab. Once arriving at the Garden the sign said "Sold Out".
Proceeding to the box office I inquired in my best Southern English if any tickets were still available. She, feeling sorry for me, said yes but they were not very good seats. I said I'll take one.
Having a couple of hours to kill, I began looking for a place to have some food and a couple of beers. Total failure as every establishment near the venue was packed.
Returned to Madison Square Garden where I purchased a beer for $12 and popcorn for $10.
I then trekked to my seat in the rafters behind stage.
She was right . . . they were not very good seats.
