So how much change in 1 week can everyone here expect to see in tomorrows game????? I personally hope we have learned to tackle better!!!!

I personally hope coach Brooks and coach Slade worked with the D ALL week cause we need Lots of work before next weekend. Cmon Trooper put a fire under these coaches and show em hows its done! GO VOLS!!!

Slade has worked with his DB's since, what?, 1999 and that hasn't worked out very well for him.

I read a quote earlier by someone who'd played DL years ago at UT. He said it looked as if UT's DL's were standing up right after the snap... that's a fixable problem that can be handled in a week. It's partially just a matter of concentration.

The real question in my mind is if Chavis will let the remaining opponents double the DL's at the point of attack on every run play and keep 6 or 7 in to protect on pass plays without blitzing. If so, everyone will continue to moan about the poor DL play while those guys try to fight through two blockers to make plays.

Defensively, as good as USM is, they DO NOT have the talent that CAL does...We will see much more gang tackling AT the LOS or behind...Offensively, I expect to see UT play ball control....the offense MIGHT score 28 points...

i remember a time when i wouldn't even have to think about our record being anything other than 2-0 going into the florida game.

i have absolutely no idea what to expect going into this game with Southern..

Offensively...a few more runs

Defensively...more blitzing if they DL can't get it done again. I think they will take more chances with this secondary since they at least didn't give up the big, big play against Cal.

Yea Cal's line was getting under our guys pads all night. They were more determind then we were.I expect to see more determination from our guys this week. As for tackling thats more about desire at that level because Hef missed more tackles than anybody and I doudt he forgot how.

Don't expect us to look like world beaters out there saturday.But hey ryan karl is talking tough.That ought to get you excited.LOL No all kidding aside we will have our hands full with USM.We will see what kind of offense we have after this game.

Cal fan here...was at the game last Sat. I think the Vols will Hammer S. Miss this Saturday. After runnin with the Bears, UT will be playing at a different speed than USM. Also I think LB's #5, 7 and Hefney are gonna be all over the field trying to prove that they CAN tackle somebody. Your offense looked great( play calling- not so much!) and I cant imagine that S Miss defense is going to be too much better than Cal's, especially in Neyland. I predict a great game from Ainge, some smashmouth running , and Tennessee's first W of the year. 38-17 Vols PS- Thanks to all the Big Orange who showed up in Berkeley, you really added a lot to the atmosphere, making it a great day of college football.

Thanks Lefty and congrats on the win...take it and run with it....if you can get by USC, the world is your oyster, if nobody else upsets you along the way. If they do then the UT win may be the highlight of your season.
