I know just like me many people want many coaching changes. Ex...Debord, Mahoney, S/C, Martinez. But some of that just isn't happening. I would love a new OC but not sure Butch will make a change. My favorite coach is Coach G what he does in recruiting and with the RBs despite terrible o line is good.

So the actual realistic changes should be new Oline coach and new SC Coach.

I think there will be more changes than you think. Butch better clean house or he won't be here very much longer. If his stubbornness continues he will be looking for employment. DeBored must go.

Debord's contract is up after this year so I don't see it being renewed. Realistically, I see CZA being promoted to OC and still working with the WRs and that will allow us to bring in a QB coach. Then I think Mahoney is gone for sure and we'll hire a new S&C coach. The wildcard is Martinez, but Shoop could be frustrated and want is own guy or to take over that position.

I think Butch's problem this offseason will be if we do win out in convincing fashion and then make a good showing is SECCG and/or any decent bowl game then he will have a halfway legitimate reason to believe his offense will be even better next year with more stability and possibly a better QB arm talent wise with more upside overall at least (JGG). So why not keep the same guy that runs Jones's offense but maybe with a bigger variety of plays.

His other option is to completely turn over his offense to another type/style coordinator or install a new system at least even if a power running spread. That could be his Dooley Doom if he chooses a Sunseri equivalent.

Whether he chooses to hold fast and getting more of his type skill players (Hurd out and JG with hopefully and arm and wheels) or flip the script will prob determine his future at UT.

This all assumes Shoop's defense improves at least marginally with another year knowing his system and with healthier players.

Even though this year was our best chance in a while to stomp on some faces. I think most people understand that next year is his coup de gra or death knell. Whether we like that or not.

Even though at times I have wanted to as well (especially SC game), we are not going to fire a 10-3 or 10-4 coach this year if we get there after where we have been for over a decade. Even if we don't like it.

Mahoney gets canned. Debord shifts to full time O-line coach. Azzani takes over Off Coor duties and we bring in a QB coach. Martinez is gone and Gruden convinces Deion Sanders to come be the secondary coach.

Until Butch Jones is gone it won't matter on offense. In his own words, "the process is infallible." He will never change this offensive scheme which IMO isn't sustainable in the SEC. Look at the teams in the West that runs pro style offenses. The SEC isn't flash and pizzazz. It's big boy smash your face in football. That's why I don't think he will ever get anything done here.

Which teams in the west are you referring to?

Only LSU Arkansas run a different scheme than us.

Bama says hello........ the system works it just needs the rite type of personnel to be successful. The mistake that Coach has made is not adapting the scheme to the type of personnel.

I don't think the names are important...people just want us to win like we did in the nineties...so just change out coaches until that happens...

Oxymoron..."Volnation" and "I think". Thread after thread of arm chair/Monday morning quarterbacks offering up coaching changes. Laughable. We are lucky Butch willing to put up with the crap. Bama fans would lynch "negative" posters.

DeBord's agreement was extended to 2/28/2018.

Debord is not up until after the 2017 season.

If CZA gets promoted to OC, then Butch Jones can pack his bags and gtfo of Knoxville in the express lane.
