I think he would be a good fit at UT. All has done at Auburn is win. Other than Miles, a relative newcommer, I think Tubs has the best winning percentage in the SEC. Plus he is an excellent recruiter. I don' think he will be at AU after this year unless they win out. Why not grab him???

I highly doubt it

Where have you been this century? It is very seldom, if ever, that Tubs' teams haven't been ready to play. He seems to have grasped the hiring of outsiders that actually work out, and his staff of whom are all great recruiters would all follow him.
Furthermore, do you think Alabama worried about the buyout when they went after Saban.
Oh yeah, Tuberville owns Alabama, too.

AU might kick him to the curb after they get destroyed by Bama this year. I'd love to have him, but it will never happen.

Tubbs will be gone in 2 years...bank it. He's lived off sub par Bama years and that has changed.

Have you seen the Auburn offense lately? I am sure we would be ripping him if he were here with that offense of his. They won against a hapless opponent and now you want him here?

Muschamp was the defensive coordinator for Auburn last year. He is now the DC at Texas. He helped LSU win in 2003 and shut down Tebow last year

Heres a quote from Quentin Groves at Auburn about Muschamp...

He will have dry-erase marker all over his face, and he’ll have blood somewhere on his hand because he’s already broken a board.”
-Auburn player, Quentin Groves

I think you all could do a lot worse than Will Muschamp but I do think he is a bit of a hothead and says some things that an little older person would not.

What is TT's buyout at Auburn? It would probably be a few mil. Plus, he would want at least $4 mil per year to come to UT. Add that to Fulmer's $5.5 mil buyout and you're talking about some major league bling.

Tubberville would have the recruiting connections to win at UT. At least from an SEC recruiting area. Going coast to coast to bring them in I am not sure how he would be. I don't follow Auburn very much, does their roster have any from outside the south on the team?

No way Tennessee should go after Tuberville. He is no better than Fulmer. He, Croom, and Richt are going to be where Fulmer is soon enough.

he'll stay here for a season then dip
Exactly...UT will hire a coach that's gonna stay. Muschamp is all UGA...that's where he'll end up if Richt derails. The last thing I want is another Doug Dickey fiasco.

Another thing, why is everyone so concerned about buyouts...it means nothing! Absolutely nothing when the big wheels get rolling and they want somebody. You guys need to get over the buyout thing.

Let me tell you something from experience...it ain't nothing for an Athletic Dept. to piss away hundreds of thousands a dollars a year on incidentals. Been there, seen it. A buyout is nothing.
