i seen him at the vol walk and he didnt want to make eye contact with anybody, he looked like a man who knows his time has come. i can not see him getting any prominent coordinator job.

With the amount of players the Vols and Chavis have placed in the NFL the Big Chief will probably be hired by his buddy Cutcliffe and turn Duke into a 8-4 with regularity. If that does not happen he will have no problem finding work, it wasn't that many years ago when the NFL came courting him.

Chavis will have work if he wants it. At worst, he'll take a spot coaching linebackers somewhere.

I hate to agree with Majors, but Chavis saved Fulmers job for 10 years.

This week Tennessee has the #8 defense in the country with the #117 offense. The offense gives the defense no chance, but they seem to hang in there.

We are #103 in time of possession. The D gets lots of snaps.

Chavis will coach somewhere for sure. I know we place blame on him a lot, but I wouldn't mind seeing Chavis stay with Mike Leach as the HC/OC.

He's been offered NFL position coaching a couple of times in the past. I'm sure somebody in the league would still take him.

I think Chavis should be retained as DC, he has never really had a bad defense. I like some things about his style, I like the fact that he brings pressure and blitz' a lot. I don't want a DC that is afraid to blitz. If we do let him go a lot of teams would be happy to have him, I wouldn't be surprised to see him offered a HC job at a smaller school like UW.
