This is what I feel. I just could not put it into words as well as the OP. For those who stopped reading. You should have persevered through it.

Usually when there is a post this long, I only read untill something that is said is dumb or unreliable, but this is a very well written piece and I agree with most of it.

Dooley may not be the coach to ride into the sunset, but I completely disagree with getting rid of him this year. Unless we are hitting a "for sure" home run with a new hire then we are potentially adding to the number of years to rebuild. Not to mention how much more expensive it will be. I think we are definitely looking at new coach, but not until 2014.

I agree.. IF Dooley is let go this year, a 'for sure home run hire' is the only way, IMO, we continue to move forward and get a bump in recruiting..

too many men on the field, not enough men on the field, standing around looking at the football that was just kicked off to them, missing chip-shot extra point kicks, missing tackles right and left, lining up out of position, inconsistent punting......and on and on.

And someone said the Vols were focused. Give me a break.

I'd say he was spot on, but I didn't read any of it.

Take my word for it....he was spot on. Call me soon before it is to late and I will fix all those little things that he speaks of. Then folks will be back to simply saying...it is always something with Vandy instead.

Dooley and the team have a attention to detail and have focus. We lack in execution and mainly on Defense. State had incredible execution and it really exploited our lack thereof on Defense. But then again, that is where most of our lack of execution is coming from this year. We have a completely brand new defensive system.

Dooley may not be the coach to ride into the sunset, but I completely disagree with getting rid of him this year. Yeah...I mean sure if you are thinking of getting a new coach anyway why not just wait until 2014...Dooley is a nice enough guy and means well...let him have his last year here.

While the likes of Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Texas go ahead and stake their claim in solid coaches with wads of cash...that has been the mentality of Tennessee....always a day late and a dollar short.

I am nervous about getting behind as well. But if any of the above mentioned get the coach we are looking for, then we are in the situation we were in when we hired Dooley...way down the list. There is no way to be sure in either situation.

This was really well written and makes me sad because as much as I don't want it to be true I think it is.

I really hope something clicks in the next two weeks...
Bruh,if it hasn't happen now its not going to to happen at all.

If Charlie not our first choice, we sure is shoot better get him before Arky does. Arky has put everyone one on notice about its place in the future.

Started reading and could not stop. Very long but right on point. Dooley needs to go. I was on the Dooley train until the Miss St loss but now I just cannot see him ever getting it done.

Just think, if they did not have their head up their a## on that play, we would have had at least 1 good win.

Trust me bro....Charlie Strong will not be available by February and it would be absolutely pathetic if we don't pounce on him ASAP before Arkansas does.

Good article, I agree with it.

I am always curious why people complain so openly about a post being too long. If you don't want to read it fine, but in my opinion it makes you seem ignorant, intellectually incurious, and lazy when you openly brag that something over 3 sentences is too long and you don't want to bother with it. If your attention span is that of a 4 year old child, why do you brag about it?
