There are rumblings of a possible coaching at the end of the season and it’s growing louder. Let’s reverse the usual line of thinking, what’s your proof there will be NO change in the head coach at the end of the season. Some on here are positive we stay the course. Where’s the proof?

I know some in the football dept left last year knowing the ship was sinking and said a bad year HC was in trouble. Although one of those said he thinks Pruitt gets pass on COVID.

If there’s rumblings of possible coaching at the end of the season I’m excited for that to finally start

They knew after a long winning streak at the end of the season with some exciting recruits coming in that the ship was sinking? I'll call your bluff.

CPF is not going to fire CJP. CPF has a lot of support from people who have a lot of money. The football people are in control again and those out there hoping for the circus of coaching search are going to be really disapointed. This is not Hamilton, Hart, or Currie anymore.

I think the university has fully planned on keeping Pruitt and probably will. However, the anger in the fan base seems to picking up steam with other schools proving the lame excuse that Tennessee is using, of Covid, as bull**** by firing their inept coaches. Coaches who have done a far superior job to ours. The university now has to decide where it’s going to lose money, either through buyouts or apathetic fans. There is no proof to either school of thought, only speculation.

I think people are wrong to minimize how much say that the AD has. I don't think Fulmer makes a change because I think he doesn't want to admit failure and he seems averse to pulling the plug. And I don't think the boosters are ready to push Plowman to fire Fulmer. And I'm not sure she would if they did. The AD does make these decisions whether we like it or not.

Enthusiasm for next year at an ALL-Time low. Better make a positive change or there will be a lot of echos in Neyland next year from the empty stands.

No proof. But logic tells me that there is relatively no chance an AD places his own job in jeopardy by firing a coach whose contract he just extended 3 months prior.

And a coaching change is financial impossibilty this season and probably next.
