If it is close, it’s because Ensworth is paying kids to play. None of those boys have parents who could afford that tuition and they can’t afford to live in the area, either.

What’s the point? I’m a 57 year old UT fan, raised born and raised in East Tennessee. I come from a long line of die hard UT fans; grandfather, great uncles, father and cousins. About 20 years ago I met an elder gentleman that held UT football tickets and I ask him if he went to the games. He said that he doesn’t follow them anymore. He just kept the tickets for his employees. I always wondered how you could be a fan all your life and just stop. I get it now, on 9/13/2025. There is now difference between Johnny Majors and Josh Heupel and all the others coaches in between. We might as well just kept Vince Dooley. Other SEC teams find a winning coach and they find a freshman quarterback that hand UT decade after decade of losing streaks. The customer is the UT fans and the revolving door coaches are only there for a pay check. Tennessee is full of families that are fans while their children are fans of Alabama, Florida and Georgia. We had Peyton Manning that never beat Florida, while they took a quarterback and beat us all four years. Maybe we should just hire a farmer bailing hay somewhere in Tennessee. Maybe he’ll do a better job because he wants to see TN win. Last year we were 1 of the 8 teams that made the playoffs and had a quarterback that you couldn’t trust to throw more than a
