Generally the season is what counts, since the tournament is a one and done. It might make a difference in Tennessee's case for a number one seed, but if Tennessee makes the championship game, I doubt winning that will make a difference. Remember, the SEC Championship game is on Sunday, and the selection is just a few hours later. By Sunday, everything is pretty much in place.

Normally I’d say season but I don’t know....

I’m 35 and would really like to see Tennessee win an SECT before I die.

I’d also like to see a Nashville crowd that isn’t 90% blue when we play them there.

The SEC needs to go back to what it was before the 1978-1979 season when there was no SEC Men's Basketball Tournament

Regular season. Conference tourneys are for teams that need wins to get into the big dance. Honestly, I wish we'd play Walker, Johnson, Kent and the walk ons the entire game, take the L and get some rest for the real tournament. No need to wear out Grant, AD, Bone, ect right before the NCAA.
