What’s going on with David Sanders?

My guess is . . . He doesn’t play at all this year. Why? It takes a good while for a nerve issue to heal. But IF he does play . . . It won’t be until the Bama game . . . Which is probably not ideal for his first experience of playing time?

Take it for what AI is.....but it says 2-8 weeks for nerve damage and can be 6-12 month if there is a connection issue. That wasn't the info I wanted to hear. Maybe he can luck out and heal quicker.

I don't mind the kid getting his $$. Just for my curiosity, if he doesn't play this year,
do players that are 5* get their NIL money anyway? I don't really know.

I wish someone would start a thread about Sanders. So @LWSVOL could answer what’s going on with him ONE MORE TIME!
I think everyone including me is so anxious see this guy on the field…. Our running game is already lethal … can’t imagine what a healthy David sanders will do… good luck stopping our ground game for sure then

nothing in the NIL agreements about playing. BY law, there can be nothing in those agreements about playing or even going to a school. As long as a player executes what is in the agreement he will be paid.

Need to be careful setting too high of expectations for high school players rated highly. Its fun to have that excitment but many times (Nico ring a bell?) it doesn't work out. Harrison Bailey? Jarrett Guarantano? Drew Richmond? Key Lawrence? I could go on and on...

its not just a Tennessee thing either. I can name hundreds from all across college ball. Until we see Sanders play at 100% healthy against SEC competition, there is no idea what we have.

He just has that build and look about him. You can obviously see he came in fall practice pretty good shape

At this point, i think him coming in may hurt the Gel this offensive line has developed over the past 4 weeks.

From something I read/heard it sounded like a really unique and rare type of injury
I don’t know about rare. I’m dealing with nerve stuff in my shoulder right now too and I got the impression from the PT that she sees that sort of thing a lot. It’s definitely weird though. You’re kinda at the mercy of your body in how long it takes to settle down. FWIW, I’m still not 100% (anl mostly pain-free) and I started down this road in July.
