Have we become officially irrelevant? All the news is bad and nothing we have heard except rumours which are exactly that just rumors? What will it take because Butch isn’t resigning on his own and Currie isn’t firing him?

Hard to say.

Currie has been content just watching the dumpster burn for over a month now.

It's unreal

It's already reached the breaking point. The only question remaining is when will the decision become "public?"

Currie is setting up the program to where it is going to be impossible to get a decent coach to come into this mess, so that either we have no choice to but to go with an FCS dice-roll, or we have to suffer through another year of Butch.

Regardless, there are three games left on the schedule, the 2018 recruiting class will probably end up in the mid 40s at this rate.

We are toast and I am disgusted. Currie really should fire him today. It is getting worse everyday that he is still here

The breaking point is as soon as the new guy wants to start. That's really all we're waiting on.

Sure am glad Currie wants to let a lame duck coach, who is no longer recruiting, to hang around and potentially finish this season. What a slap in the face to this fanbase.

I won’t suffer through another year of BJ. I will become a Vanderbilt fan and get season tickets!

I think Butch will be gone at season's end and hopefully there will be a relatively quick announcement of his replacement. If that's the case, things can turn around, as far as perception, pretty quickly.

Florida and Texas A&M are going to snatch the top coaches at this rate.

Unless they already have someone who can't come until the end of the season, but even then it will be too late for recruiting.

We are irrelevant, and that’s what hurts the most. No one across the college football landscape cares anymore about Tennessee football. We scare no one, no team is intimidated by Neyland, outside of Trey Smith elite talent doesn’t give us a second look, and our fan base has come to accept 8-4 as a pretty good season. Sad, really sad.

But the UT AD doesn't care as long as money is rolling in to fund $340 million dollar stadium renovations.

We've had a decade of garbage served up to us, and we kept on eating it, and paying for seconds. Nothing will change until the fans stop paying for a subpar product.

At what rate? They haven't hired anyone yet and we don't know that UT isn't already talking to Butch's replacement.
