Phil just cost us the hiring of a coach that 90% of us were finally happy about when we went to bed last night.

Then by decapitating Currie, UT has another 5.4 mil owed to him.

All because Philip Fulmer coveted the AD job and saw an opportunity to grab it in the midst of all the turmoil making things even worse.

My vote would go to David Blackburn overwhelmingly now after this went down.

Someone is going to temporarily assume control. It's either Sigmon or Fulmer. Currie was fired because Haslem didn't approve of Leach. Haslem is fighting like hell to get Sigmon in. What part of this do you people not understand?

Currie will not get his full buyout.

UT can fire for cause, but will not...

What part do you not understand? Sigmon doesn't have to get the job and neither does Fulmer. Both represent power factions fighting it out for control.

The thing to do is to do what should have been done before Currie was hired. Hire the qualified Tennessee guy, David Blackburn. Do the right thing for once.
