when has Dooley finised 9th in recruiting? are you one of those guys that thinks the game is over in the 1st quarter, recruiting is done in October?

Been no better than 8th in the conference so far since July, and are currently 9th. Finishing 6th is very realistic right now.

1) I don't give two sh*ts what our ranking is on NSD.

2) Furthermore, I really, really could care less what our rating was in JUNE or now.

I rate classes a couple years after they get on campus. That is the only way to rate them effectively.

Behind the 8-Ball in recruiting, eh?

2) How does Tennessee compare to our rivals as far as instate talent? We not even in the same stratosphere. A lot harder to get on top of the recruiting world with the lack of success the last few years and a instate talent base which is virtually nonexistent.

One thing I can say is Fulmer didnt have no problem getting talent to come to Tn,until he got lazy. Its not like it cant happen. It happened for many years.

You 100% sure about that?? You don't think ANYONE could have won with the team we had??

No, I don't think ANYONE could have won with that roster, including Nick Saban. You obviously forget how bad it was when Fulmer & Kiffin left. Then you add the brutal schedules that UT faced in 2010 & 2011 and you have an impossible situation to step into.

Ranking that we finished with?? We haven't finished inside the Top 10 since 2007, IIRC, and that's with consistently the biggest recruiting budget in the SEC.

Yeah. That was an awesome class.

6 of our top 7 recruits were busts. Including 4 5*.

But keep pounding your chest about that class.

Again, you are obviously not capable of having a rational discussion. Such a question is preposterous given the implied premises.

I asked you 2 simple questions and you say Im on a cloud or some bs.The bottom line is you wont answer them.So I will go ahead and help you out.He hasnt beat any team worth bringing up and he has turned nothing around. Now get back on your high horse and act like everything is ok at UT

Rivals and others may not hit on individual players rankings right all the time, but they are really accurate on team rankings for the entire class. Also, looking at the top teams in the conference, where they finish in team rankings in the SEC, and their win totals, that all disagrees with the PKT evaluation system. Those rankings show that the teams winning, and with the best recruiters, are doing the best in recruiting. South Carolina is playing well above their talent level, according to their rankings, and Auburn is playing below. Everyone else is pretty dead on.

This isn't the 90's. The SEC has changed.

Fulmer showed his true colors when had to go up against competent coaches at other schools.

So, we spent almost 2 million dollars, and got mostly crap on the team. Again, that's why a lot of us are pissed right now. We have all the facilities and recruiting budgets most coaches could ever need, but we can't land a Top 3 class in the SEC, and when we do, most of them are busts. That's just super disappointing from my perspective.

The only way you ask that question in valid manner is to assume both coaches had comparable talent. I keep trying to subtly hint that. Apparently you think we are loaded with talent.

And the "Good 'Ole Boys" didn't keep up, and Fulmer was exposed at the end of his career for complacency. This may not be the SEC of the '90s, but investing in a winning coach will get you more places in this league, than going bargain basement. IIRC, Dooley's salary is in the bottom of the SEC.

Right. That "Top 10" 2007 class was just wonderful wonderful. smh

You can gaze at the stars all you want. I judge talent a couple years after they are on campus. Trying to judge talent at the high school for the SEC is precarious at best.

Well, you are justing airing out your ignorance.

I love how we are suppose to have top flight talent fall out of the sky because we have great facilities and a good recruiting budget. It is not like there is more to it.

Our classes under Dooley have been/will be more solid (top to bottom) than Kiffin or the latter days of Fulmer.

Here's let me help you look for yourself. Not that you'll agree with anything that is shown to you to be fact, but I figure what the hell, it's worth a shot.

smh. Who are these "winning coaches" what you want to invest in?

That's the entire point. If you are given more than any other school in the SEC or NCAA for that matter, and can't land the talent to win the East, what will you ever do as a coach here at UT?? To continue with such results, is basically the definition of insanity.
