Western Michigan adds Tennessee to future football schedule

Um Western Michigan went to Pitt last year and beat them.
In reality we beat Pitt by 3+ TDS. That’s well know by now. That game should have been over at Halftime. Playing Western Michigan is an embarrassment for Tennessee. I’d rather the University just pick one school every year to write a check for and then play a real team.

We have nothing to gain and everything to lose - said UT before Ga. St.

Never disrespect the underdog!!
It still amazes me we have the mentality that we WILL wax any team on the field that we SHOULD beat on paper. Been said many times but worth repeating...With today's greatly improved training (especially at the high school level), transfer portal (most often down to these level schools), availability that all level coaches have to improved coaching skills, and about other 50 issues...NOW...more than at any time...ANY program can beat another on a given day. NO SUCH THING AS CUPCAKES ANYMORE! Now clearly, I think we can and will handle Western Michigan or whoever. But I agree with your statement about the "underdog"!!

Western Michigan is in the same conference as Ball State.
I think these are decent games for UT because these MAC teams like to throw multiple schemes defensively and almost all of them try to play some kind of spread offense...so it's very valuable experience for our guys from top to bottom.
